Purple...I don't have the full list but a couple of people I do know that are on the Jr. team: Taylor, Faulkner, Pearson, Kelch, Trey Hill, Fitzgerald, and I'm fairly sure Kunkel.

Per his twitter, Mickey picks up an offer from Ball State Univ. Congrats to the young man, should be a big summer with more to follow.

Next up recruits and Pure Prospects will release a top 10-20 list soon if not already. Their list will differ from this list. The 2017 and 2018 classes really don't have the one standout guy that has separated himself from the rest (aside from Hollingsworth). They all are kinda mumbled together and with that being said; I don't know if there is a top ten. But it makes for good conversation though.

PG from North Oldham was good....I thought he was a senior though. There was a long athletic kid that played some 2 and 3 when we played them last year. I thought he was pretty good as well.

WKU picked up Jordan Brangers a JUCO transfer as well as of course Hollingsworth. Rumors are swirling around Eli Wright maybe trying to come back home. Jake is entering a crowded backcourt. No doubt he has the talent to compete, but it's going to be difficult I think for him to crack that line-up.

Is your field set at this point? Or do you add others as the summer goes along? Probably a question most of the followers already know the answer to I guess.

In essence the rankings are saying Pearson is not in the top 50 players in Kentucky (roughly)....strong criteria or not I think that's an injustice. I don't mean to take away from anyone on this list they all deserve it.... he should have been added....23 pts 9 rebs and 2 blocks per game.

Really really confused by these all-state selections....congrats to all the young men on the list well-deserved. I'm a John Hardin fan and there is no way Mickey Pearson does not make at least honorable mention on this list.

It just seems to me that in the state all together that the margin between 1 thru about 40 is minor. I don't think any of the guys on the team are far superior than let's say a Kel Stotts. I don't think we have a dominant player maybe other than Hollingsworth. Certain parts of the state are gonna get more benefit of the doubt when selecting All State and All Star teams. Kinda seems like that's we the way we did business this year. So kudos to you for coming up with this team.....must have been difficult.

I think what would be optimal for kids who have aspirations of playing D1 basketball is to have a great season, put up good numbers so more D1 recruiters can become interested. Sometimes it's difficult to get the recruiting buzz and not put up numbers, it can be done, but in a state that already is behind talent wise nationally, that is hard to do.

I may be behind on this topic but is this a job that you typically would leave MC for or could this be some inside knowledge coach may know about Faulkner next season.

The kid played his butt off at the right time in front of the right people. This is the essence of AAU basketball. BUT it should not be lost that WKU had the spot open and Jake took advantage of it. A lot of kids in the 2017 class have already signed their LOI or can't qualify. I've been on this site for a minute and I see a lot of Jake Ohmer related info; so he must have been playing well throughout his career. Was WKU the only in-state mid major at the tourney watching the games. Morehead, Murray, EKU, NKU. No knock but I think it's a fair question, why no previous offers?

WKU had the spot available. They were openly searching for spots to be filled with the 2017 class. Young man took advantage of an opportunity...looks like he deserves everything he is getting. Good lesson for the youngins...keep working hard, it'll eventually pay off.

Without Harmon what kind of team will BG bring back? Seems like they just produce athletes for days.

They cause injuries and It's a game changer. When a player is in the air he then has someone slide under him, that's very dangerous.....many broken and injured wrists. Gotta get it out of the game.

Couldn't have said it better. It was just a weird run for TC. A full strength North Hardin would have probably represented the 5th region better. With that, I don't think they would have beaten Ballard. North didn't have strong guard play....and that plays right into Ballard's wheelhouse.
