Nelson County Athletics made an announcement today to make Coach Gilbert their head coach.

This is correct. Not sure why they haven't put anything out officially though.

Well, he's a tenured teacher at Cooper and virtually impossible to remove. If he goes to another public school, he could be non-renewed after the first year before tenure is restored.

Northern KY coaches seem to pull the "teaching at public/coaching at private" move off more frequently than rest of state. Coach Code comes to mind when he was coaching at Bishop Brossart for years, while teaching at Highlands.

Paris is supposed to let their players go to the rival school? Odd times.
