Not to hijack thread but it never ceases to amaze me that the 10th region continues to play these games year in year out at the fieldhouse. No way would I give a program like Mason home court every year in the Region. No way. Sumo... thank you for acknowledging this advantage.

Your point is well taken with seeing parts of a play. I'm often critical of the 'phantom' fouls when a ref. see's a reaction but didn't see the actual play. Due to the reaction they call a foul when at times no contact has even occurred. In the case of the SK vs E-town game, it is my understanding there were 3 officials. You have to hope they had the floor covered pretty well with three of them on the floor. They called a technical so I have to think they saw the swings, if they saw intentional swings then in my opinion the player should be ejected. I also would be curious of E-town's response as this particular team has apparently had issues in the past. If they don't address the issue then its a black eye for their entire program and that has been so stellar the past years.

I've not seen the tape nor was I at the game. But according to one of my good friends that was there and knows the rules very well. He stated the same thing. Felt the first looked very intentional and could have easily warranted ejection. The 2nd def. warranted ejection. There was also another incident where Neice was thrown hard on the ground that resulted in a Technical. Did you by chance see that on tape? Curious if that should have resulted being rejected as well?

Great game with some excellent athletes. This will make for an interesting 9th region tournament. I think I still have Holmes as my favorite. If they haven't figured it out by now Holmes better show up every game or they will go home early That said, that may also be trouble for everyone else, I don't think anyone will sneak up on them so you better be ready for the bulldogs A game too

I wasn't their so I can't comment directly. However, speaking to someone I trust and doesn't embellish to much. They pretty much have old me the same to the above threads Meier does not get a fair shake from 90% of the refs I have watched. They really don't know how to ref a kid that has that big of a size differential. They seem to think that she can take hits and it's ok, but if she gets near anyone they blow the whistle even when the opposing team initiated contact Bright note from the game I heard. SK really battled thru everything, they didn't quit Niece and Harney both played very well. Buckner for the first time started showing her athleticism since her injury. Stamper back from injury and did well. Gilliam really frustrated the Stinson girl with her defense. Very very good minutes from host of players. Bush, jones, harmeyer, dressman. They told me they didn't think the team could face more adversity than they did last night. If that is the case, could be a great learning experience to help battle hard them now the post season is here. They kept commenting how proud they were of the girls for battling thru all of the contact and never quitting. When they were put on there butt, they got right back up after it. If that is the case, great job by the coaches for keeping them focused and not letting them back down, better job by the players for not losing their cool and competing Flip side, sounds like elizabethtown and khsaa has some issues to take care of. Bad time of year for this sort of thing

So your saying no coach at SK may say a curse word in front of their players? Hmmmm... I know a few coaches that may want this topic to go away Let's also not kid ourselves, do we really believe that is the first time any of these kids have heard that? On either team? Don't over dramasize something that's not the end of the world

I'm not sure what this accomplishes other than symantics. You basically have this today with every team having a chance to play thru their respective districts. Putting some of these lower ranked teams against the regions best simply sets up a lot of lopsided scores in the first round. I also enjoy the banter for district seedlings and how those regular season games play out I guess fun to play with but again I'm not sure it accomplishes much other than giving out participation ribbons

Sacred Heart has to much depth for CC. I see them winning by 20+. I'm not sure CC has anyone that can stop Berger or go as deep as SH CC has a loaded schedule on the back half. I'm wondering if the coaches are regretting that decision or if they know their team is confident enough to overcome these loses so close to post season

First game I've seen in awhile and have to say the girls were rolling. Footballforever, I don't think the sk girls have the same assessment as you do as many of them are friends with the highlands girls. Regardless, show a little respect and act like you have been there before This team does have its weaknesses just like any other team out there. What I saw was a team that improved defensively and has things going in the right direction at the right time. I think they can play anyone San king as they are solid in defense. Highlands, USB a solid team and sk caught them on a bad night when they weren't having a good night. I expect both teams to do well in their respective regions

That's just one person. They do play tomorrow and I would love to see the game but can't make the trip. I have mentioned the game several times so I'm curious what your thoughts are

I think you are correct. I said it in another thread, SK is a different team than what they were earlier in the year. Meier playing with some emotion, Harney has become more comfortable and is playing very good basketball, niece still steady as ever, harmeyer hitting shots, jones playing good d but finally starting to heat up, Gilliam play very well on both ends of floor and Buckner finally coming back from injury and starting to show flashes of being back This team still has an upside and I think belong in top 3 or 4. They can be beat but if they play well they can beat anyone Really curious to hear how they look against sacred heart. I think they are a great measuring stick to see how all these pieces have grown together vs first part of year
