Seems like coach is always trying to make a youth movement but rarely gets anything off the ground or develops these kids. I'm sure time and importance of ball possession are preached yet he wastes valuable minutes and possessions by rotating kids that just aren't going to contribute in big games. Better start getting your team ready for tourney time Very frustrating to see a team that has their size and is somewhat skilled be used so poorly.

Nope. Just visited highlands a few months ago and their administrations approach towards kids is absolutely amazing compared to Kenton county. After visiting he school I was blown away and the. It made me realized that whenever I drive by Dixie and sk that they look like they couldn't afford to pay their light bill. Also know they completly shut out the students for any after hour activities Don't have a kid in school or any association with a school

They have designated areas for their protests which are far from the president elects locations during the inauguration. Anyone outside those areas that pose any potential threat will be dealt with immediately. They will not interfere with anyone voicing protests but if you are in a undesignsted area you will be dealt with Pretty much what has been shared by secret service. Bottom line, if you watch tv you should not see a thing unless the news wants to fabricate a story Curious to see how media wants to portray. They tried to make a big thing out of the RNC but it actually was pretty mild. The DNC had by far the worst protests between the two groups (sanders / Clinton). Thus why you had the security walls go up over night

I don't have a dog in this fight..... or any fight for that matter. But over the years watching Kenton county schools never ceases to amaze me. The current Superintendent has no love for athletics. I can go on and on regarding their closed door policies but for such astute (sarcasm) academies, they fail to understand the impact athletics have on kids lives. From being awarded college scholarships when they may have no other avenue to better their lives, to preaching eating healthy but restrict a facility that promotes healthy activities are the things that makes them laughable. When you go by their schools at dark, they have every light out to save a few bucks. They clearly have missed the boat of safety for kids and developing kids to be successful in life as they absolutely do nothing to encourage all kids to be active participants in group settings. Go by these schools after hours and you will see how inviting. Lights out, doors locked kids triping over parking blocks because they can't see, coaches terminated for being to hard etc.... Just absolutely ridiculous that this community sits in their hands and allows this group of administers continue to make the "best choices for you" Because they know what's best. It's time for a change in Kenton county and they need to start at the top and eliminate a very top heavy organization that is more worried about their jobs than supporting all their kids to grow healthy, intelligently and successfully

Got to see this one tonight and I have to agree. SK had open looks just couldn't knock them down. However, torward the end I thought they made some very poor choices with game management by shooting deep 3's when you don't need that shot at that time . Let's see girls.... your up, clock is your friend but let's shoot a deep 3 without hardly running any clock. Post play is your advantage this game. Take advantage of it. Clock is your friend..... take advantage of it. I could hear Sk coaches preaching it to the girls so hopefully they will keep tuning in and listen. There staff is really good and see the adjustments they need to make during the game. I sat near them so enjoyed ease dropping on some of their coaching Great staff. Wish the boys side had the same level That said, this team is starting to gel so the sky is the limit. They don't have everyone back healthy yet so they still have an uptick. Girls seem to be start understanding their roles so they are fun to watch, especially when they play hard defense Both teams Need to take care of the ball better Sk moving ball a lot better than they were earlier in year. just to enamamored with the 3 at times. Scott played a lot of zone so sk had some good looks but sometimes you just shouldn't settle Scott seems to have everything centered around two players. That isn't going to help them post season so hopefully they are trying to bring others along. Girls play hard and push the tempo when they can. I believe that has to be there strength. Outside shooting isn't so they have to continue to find ways to get the ball to the rim Enjoyed watching both teams. Good luck to both

Uhmmm. I attacked kids heart or did I question it as a possibility of being a reason for an outcome? How dare I! We should have given participation ribbons instead of trying to figure what needs to be addressed to get better. How dare we question effort. Ok. Sorry. I'm probably talking over your head. For the no sports minded that don't understand. Coaches typically work they lineups and attempt to develop thru the month of December. Schools out, I can now have your undivided attention to focus on the areas we have been exposed. Improve this month, Jan feb I cut rotations and focus focus on areas we need to improve. All season games are practice for post season. By end of December. If you have major glaring issues ( like not playing hard defense; I believe your words not mine) then my point is this time of year having to coach effort is a major concern That goes for ALL teams. Not just Scott girls. That's not passsive aggressive. That pointed. Read my earlier posts. I pointed several deficiencies for sk girls. I see some for sk boys. Saw some in Scott boys. Saw some in highlands girls. You get tho point ( I think) I'm not ripping a program. Throwing things out to discuss I hope. What I have learned in this site is a parent takes constructive comments wrong and go bonkers. To be honest. I know any one that is decent knowledge about coaching wouldn't disagree

Girls starting to play some games back in nky and their are plenty of games local to watch local while they are gone I watch basketball because I enjoy supporting the kids Yes I've watched scotts boys. Wanted to see the Ohmer kid play, love his game. Sk boys ( right around corner). A lot of sk girls Dixies boys, heard they had a solid team. Highlands girls, I like coach richies style. Have cov cath boys on my radar too. Just to name a few. Just like to watch their students. Lol Guess I'm fair weathered to the rest of the teams I've not watched? Or I get frustrated watching a team underachieve in the boys side? My choice. I will do as I please Even watched nky university boys So what's the point?

Size doesn't matter ................ if you can't get the ball up the floor. Good guards stir the drink. A great point guard runs the offense by distributing the ball and gets everyone involved

From both sides now Now i wasn't at the game so I will admit I may be way off base Way to far to travel for me. This time of year your hoping that the messages coaches have been sending all year are starting to get thru to their kids. It's alarming if scotts kids didn't give a strong defensive effort this time of year against one of their rivals. Defense is mostly heart

I heard the referees decided to call a sympathy game that resulted in 0 fouls for Scott in 2nd half. If that's true (0 fouls ). That tells me you played absolutely no defense or referees were trying to end game. Maybe a combined effort too I wasn't there but found it interesting that my Scott friend thought the refs could have tightened things up

Ok. So is sk consistently over hyped? Issues among the players? Issues among the coaches and players? Issues with X's and O's ? Sk is year end and year out talked about this is there year. Yet year end and year out it seems they rarely make it past first round of region.

If that charity remains open he will be guilty of something guaranteed. Whoopi got on tv critizing trump for repealing Obamacare care. Said her friend already got her letter because her health care provider was dropping her. What she didn't realize or failed to note; trump is not even president yet and has not repealed anything (although it's coming), and the letter was because the healthcare provider in the state pulled out leaving only one option for her. She was joking and laughing and didn't realize it was the failure of Obamacare that she was attempting to blame on trump. Said she can't wait for everyone to get there letters. Where do they get their information from?

I watched the invitational as well. Couldn't agree with you more Clyde. What I don't understand is how the coach thinks this is preparing this years team for a run at the regional. Not being negative to the young kid, just saying that he is a few years away physically. He is a really good young skilled ball player but that isn't going to get sk thru tough physical games in the region. I also heard some disgruntlement on the team, seems like they go thru that every year. JC has got to realize that if they want to reach there potential it's time for him to take over. Seems to be to nice of a kid but he must establish a presence in the paint for this team to get past hopefully the first round of the region Coach Steiner also needs to start building for the post season. Heavier heavier doses of JC and more of a consistent dose of the players that can get this team thru the regionals. Time to stop experimenting with the younglings and time to start building a rotation. It's almost Jan so time will soon be running short
