Qryche11 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Final Birds improve to 10-1 on the year. They will play Holmes, their only loss tomorrow at Highlands in a 2 day Showcase.
I gotta go to work Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Why do people still say Covington Scott. The school is not in Covington. At the LexCath tourney bracket it says Cov Scott
Pete Mitchell Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Actually it is my understanding that it is in Covington? Can someone with the City of Taylor Mill answer, because I thought Covington city limits extend out Taylor Mill Road well beyond where Scott is located.
Pete Mitchell Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Final Birds improve to 10-1 on the year. Hey Q, have they played Cooper or Campbell County yet? Those were the two best JV teams I've seen this year. Edited December 28, 2016 by ColonelCrazy Fixed Quote Box

JesusShuttlesworth Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 I believe Scott has some of their main JV players with them down at Lexington Catholic this week as well. Scott High Schools mailing address list Taylor Mill as the city.

Scott High Schools mailing address list Taylor Mill as the city. I believe zoning makes it Covington. Part of Ryland is considered Covington even rhough it is basically Independence.

Rememer that there are cities and towns and then there are mailing districts. I live in Edgewood and it's a Covington mailing district.
Watchmen Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Regardless.... the name is Scott High school. Not Covington Scott HS or Taylor Mill Scott HS
fan1620 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Why does it matter if it's in Covington or Taylor Mill? The school is named Scott High School. Why is that so hard for people to understand.
LIPTON BASH Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Do you call the Colonels Park Hills Catholic? That is a little different because it was the or one of the original Covington Diocese HS. Although Park Hills Catholic would be more accurate. There are only two Catholic schools in Covington , HC and Latin . Also yes I know CCH started in Covington.
LIPTON BASH Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Regardless.... the name is Scott High school. Not Covington Scott HS or Taylor Mill Scott HS People do it I believe so not to be confused with Scott county.
Watchmen Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Maybe they should be Georgetown Scott county HS then.
camelman Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Will always be Covington Scott to many. Helps to clarify where the school/team is located.
rjs4470 Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Will always be Covington Scott to many. Helps to clarify where the school/team is located. Except again, it's in Taylor Mill and saying Covington Scott makes it sound like it's part of the Covington Independent School district. Calling it Covington Scott doesn't help at all with letting people know where it's located.
