People do it I believe so not to be confused with Scott county.

 

Doesn't help, since people still get it mixed up. I still remember when GRC hosted the 2014 region baseball tourney, and printed up t-shirts to sell listing the Scott high as Scott County.

The only reason I named them Covington Scott is because I have seen a few times on here where people think Scott is the County school in Georgetown. Hope I didn't ruffle too many feathers.
