  1. According to next up recruits, he is going to Montverde.
  2. Bethlehem will be looking for their third coach in as many seasons as Coach taylor is no longer the coach. Not sure if resigned or not but one would assume he resigned. Former girls coach became boys coach last year when Artie Braden stepped down. Taylor was able to coach his son last year for his senior season, the Eagles made the 5th region before losing to LaRue County.
  3. Each made their team better, is that to say Fitzgerald and Harmon didn’t. I watched both play multiple times this season, Adair County wouldn’t have won 8-9 games without Harmon and Pulaski Co would have been about .500 without Fitzgerald. Take Scrubb off Trinity they might drop a game or two more, Moreno off Scott county about the same. Cov Cath don’t win state without Fredrick but still has good shot at region. By that philosophy Trevon Faulkner, KyKy Tandy & Dontaie Allen were the most valuable and I would say Skyelar Potter and Mickey Pearson next, based on their state performances. Warren Central couldn’t score outside of Potter against Scott County and when Pearson fouled out for John Hardin, the game was over vs Pikeville.
  4. Understand who do you take off but who on that list had a better but season than Fitzgerald? Outside the kids who led their team to state can’t say one did. Also, Harmon led the state in scoring and Free Throw % which was 2 Of the 6 individual awards given out at the Mr Basketball banquet, he was only one to win multiple awards from the season, hard to leave him off as well. If you had either one of them on the list and took any one person off you could make the same argument for the guy left off, but just hard for me to see someone over Fitzgerald with the number he put up and the schedule he played and performances against top tier teams.
  5. Looks like the list was just made at the start of the season, doesn't look like the production from the season was taken into account if you are picking the ten best performers from the 2017-2018 basketball season. Steven Fitzgerald had a better season than 95% of the players on your list.
  6. See on social media that various kids have made it but does anyone have an exact list or know where to find one.
  7. They must be getting someone else in cause very good in Kentucky but they are lacking the size as of today to compete at the City of Palms.
  8. Mayfield is a good one, I forgot them. K.O.B. isn't necessarily going to invite the best team everytime, they are going to invite the star player as well, which is a lot on the best team but not always. Mayfield has both, stars and very good team.
  9. Sixteen spots, four are to out of state and one to Fairdale that leaves 11. Teams that are probably in for sure. Ballard Trinity Fern Creek That leaves 8 spots, teams worthy of consideration. I am going to say Waggener and Butler possibly get in as well then a mix of the teams below outside of the Louisville regions. Region 1 - Paducah Tilghman, McCracken County Region 2 - University Heights, Madisonville North Hopkins Region 3 - None Region 4 - None Region 5 - LaRue County, Adair County (If Harmon returns) Region 8 - Collins, Walton Verona Region 9 - Covington Catholic Region 10 - Clark County, Pendleton County (If Allen stays) Region 11 - Madison Central, Scott County, Lexington Christian Region 12 - None Region 13 - South Laurel Region 14 - None Region 15 - Sheldon Clark Region 16 - None If I was predicting the field 1.) Out of State 2.) Out of State 3.) Out of State 4.) Out of State 5.) Fairdale 6.) Trinity 7.) Ballard 8.) Fern Creek 9.) Waggener 10.) Madison Central 11.) University Heights 12.) Lexington Christian 13.) Walton Verona 14.) Collins 15.) Covington Catholic 16.) Pendleton County
  10. Or toward Lexington, Springfield to Lexington isnt much different than Springfield to Campbellsville.
  11. Steve Kirkpatrick contract has not been renewed at Monroe County per article in the Glasgow Daily Times. Have heard he will be heading now to Barren County and taking his son with him whom will be a junior.
  12. I think the Stallworth comment was a joke, Maze isn't leaving Taylor County and moving that far away.
  13. When was he state runner up with Male? Did they go to the finals in 2001, i can't remember who Lafayette beat. Mike Bush? Is that the last time Male been to state?
  14. Rumor started by Rick Bolus that Zion Harmon is possibly going to Cov Cath as well.
  15. Interesting considering his son played some as an 8th grader and will be a freshman next season you would think he wants to coach his son. Maybe they are moving somewhere for him to be an assistant or he is getting one of the open jobs, I am sure he wants to see his son with a chance to play in the state tournament and Madison Southern probably isn't going to happen.
  16. Will former North Oldham head coach Danny Edelen have a chance at the job? His son is the point guard on the 8th grade team moving up next season and was the coach of the middle school team that won the state tournament.
  17. Coach Lonnie Masons six years as head coach of the Cougars was the longest tenure for any head coach at Logan County. Article in the Logan Journal. Milestone setting coach Lonnie Mason stepping down at LCHS Who is next to lead the Cougars?
  18. Once the player enrolls at new school and has physical and papers on file he / she is good to play JV and practice with the team, just can't check into a varsity contest until cleared by the KHSAA. Rule was passed last fall (2016).
  19. I am going to say they keep it in the BG family. Mark Spader, if he says no for some reason then I think Jeff Griffith gets it and opens up Warren East.
  20. Barren County not Campbell County
  21. He isn't the states leading scorer, he is 2nd, Zion Harmon leads the state with 34.2 points per game according to the stats state leader.
  22. Scott County by at least ten ,more like 13-18 in the road win.
  23. 1st Region: Paducah Tilghman 2nd Region: Hopkinsville 3rd Region: Owensboro Catholic 4th Region: Warren Central 5th Region: Adair County 6th Region: Pleasure Ridge Park 7th Region: Trinity 8th Region: Anderson County 9th Region: Covington Catholic 10th Region: George Rogers Clark 11th Region: Scott County 12th Region: Mercer County 13th Region: Corbin 14th Region: Perry County Central 15th Region: Johnson Central 16th Region: Rowan County Championship Game: Fern Creek vs Adair County State Champion: Adair County
