I know he was working in administration at CAL, but was he involved in coaching there since he started working there last year?

I think it was a purely administrative position - no coaching.

Is he a retired teacher? I know he's been in/around coaching for some time. Private school jobs like CAL would seem to me to be very appealing to recently retired public school folks.

When was he state runner up with Male? Did they go to the finals in 2001, i can't remember who Lafayette beat. Mike Bush?

 

Is that the last time Male been to state?

Coach Hibbard coached at Male through the 2004-05 season. He continued to teach and got into school administration thereafter. He was principal at Southern High School before retiring from JCPS in 2017. That's when he became middle school principal at CAL.

 

By the way, can you imagine needing a new coach, and it turns out your middle school principal had taken two teams to the state championship game, and had won a state championship one of those times?

Congratulations to Coach Hibbard and to Louisville Christian Academy.

I remember Bryce Hibbard fondly from his Eastern and Male days.
