Central is to good for Belfy not to be challenged

CAL or DeSales at Mayfield in November! Toughest place to play that time of year. I was down there two years ago with DeSales. Game started off good for the Colts but Mayfield stormed back! Probably the best homefield advantage in the state.

Rumors are that a couple 2A powers will be moving up to 3A next year.

I wouldn't say Belfry in a walk. Central is going to be hard to beat. I don't know who would have the edge I. That game.

Holy Cross has a some good players, but the depth, speed, size, and over all athletic ability of the DeSales players overwhelms Holy Cross. Holy Cross is a very good 1A school and will be for years to come. DeSales is on a different level in 2A along with CAL and Mayfield. I think those 3 schools could compete on the 6A level and all 3 would be top 10 teams. I don't think they could beat Trinity, but they could all be very competitive with StX and others.

That's DeSales 5th consecutive shutout in this rivalry.

I can see them being competitive with StX but Trinity will be tough. DeSales has beat StX on the JV level and was a last second TD from beating them on the freshman level a few years back. Next year we will find out how close they are to competing with StX when StX comes to play at DeSales.
