  1. I hate picking against McKnight and Vail but like you said, the stars have seem to alligned for AC.
  2. absolutely 100% an upset. I was hoping to see Teegan Moore play at districts on Wednesday but it was not meant to be. I enjoy a good underdog story. Credit to Eminence.
  3. I have a feeling about Anderson County playing at home tonight. I have absolutely zero basis or knowledge on AC but I'll go out on a limb, having no dog in the fight and pick AC to move on to region.
  4. I really hope Ashland makes it to Rupp so I can see them play.
  5. Looks good and I should be in attendance the 26th and 29th. Hoping for some good, competitive games from Moore, Supplee, Rassmin, and Hardin. I'm going to stay neutral but my alliances can be bought with popcorn.
  6. What are the dates and schedule for the 31st district? I'm not sure where it's played either. It will be very competitive IMO. Gallatin has to be the favorites but Henry County or Caroll County could win it. This district has some really good individual talent for a bunch of small schools. Wyatt Supplee at Carrol County, Trevor Hardin at Henry County, Jarin Rassman at Gallatin, Teegan Moore at Owen County. I'm looking forward to attending it.
  7. Great write up! Does anyone have the schedule for the district and region dates?
  8. I'd say it's safe to say it will play out that way. Carroll has some nice pieces. I say they win that game and return to the region for the first time in a while
  9. Henry County pulls it off somehow with a 56-50 win. I would expect these 2 teams to see each other again come tourney time. Good solid game
  10. Henry County's Trevor Hardin limped off the floor after 3rd quarter with looks like a foot or ankle issue. Has not been in the game since and looks upset about it.
  11. Carroll County up 3 going into the 4th. Supplee was the best player on the floor that quarter.
  12. Henry Co. up 29-26 at half Two pretty evenly matched teams from what I see.
  13. Saw him at the KOB and was instantly one of my favorite players. I see why he is the number 1 ranked 2020 kid in Kentucky. Hoping for the best.
  14. Does anyone know when Bishop for Ballard and Fleming for Male will return? I am hoping they'll be back for thr LIT in mid January.
  15. I hate to hear that. I hope he is 100% next year. He's a real good athlete with some college potential. HC would jump to the head of the 31st next year with a healthy Hardin.
  16. Anyone know what's going on with Hardin for HC? When will he be back? I went to the KOB, Justin Powell is the real deal and worth seeing. The game him and freshman Dallas Roberts had against Male was amazing. I could see them making a run at state, if they can get out of their own district. Once out of the district I could say the same thing about Collins being a state title contender. As a neutral fan I'd love to see a NO v. Collins final at the Roy in March. Great write up as usual @ColonelMike
  17. Conley may be the best athlete. I need to see him play more. If we're talking athletes, Trevor Hardin at Henry County has some serious hops.
  18. @8th Region Warrior it would be a real shame if the potential Mr. Basketball does not make it to the region. It has happened before but I would love to see North Oldham at least make it out of the district. Collins has no cake walk with Spencer County and Woodfood entering the 30th. I hope McKnight and Powell both get to make a case for Mr. Basketball against each other at Henry County in early March.
  19. Would you consider Powell and Roberts a better combo than McKnight and Vail?
  20. The Powell kid played soph. yr with a top 5 team in Kentucky at Trinity. Last year he played for one of the top programs in the country at Montverde Academy. He's coming to the 8th region his senior year and committed to Auburn, a team that was in the final four last year and close to winning the whole thing. Powell is the front runner. IMO McKnight and Vail are both top 5 in the 8th. Conley and Morrison round out the top 5. Niece is up there if he returns 100% by tourney time. Rassman is a sleeper with Gallatin. Not saying he's in the Powell/ McKnight category but he may average 20 plus. The kid is a player. So is Trevor Hardin at Henry and Supplee at Carroll. Reece Webster should become Trimble County's all time leading scorer this year as an added bonus. He will be playing small college ball somewhere too. Shaping up for a great year in 8th.
  21. Anyone that knows anything about Kentucky high school basketball knows not to ever sleep on South Oldham and coach Simpson. Preseason top 12-15 would be a reasonable expectation.
  22. Male just a little with depth but I wouldn't change them as the top team in the state. I could be convinced to now include Ballard in the preseason top 5, not so much because of Buford but because of incoming freshman Jack Edelin enrolling with the Bruins. The 2023 class in Kentucky is loaded. Edelin, Glenn, Starks, Shepherd, Roberts and I'm sure a few more I'm missing.
  23. One of the top incoming freshmen in the state and top 100 nationwide point guard Jack Edelin will attend Ballard and play for the Bruins. One of Male's kids (Buford I believe) also just recently left to attend Ballard as well. Things getting interesting in the city 7th.
  24. After David Johnson graduated picking Trinity is like picking the Patriots without Tom Brady. Speaking of preseason top teams, North Oldham added a 2022 kid from Ballard, some kid named Rico. May want to bump them up a spot or 2.
  25. He said he is going to Hughes but you never fully know until the first day of school who will show up where.
