  1. So here is what I've read so far: -Both teams shot poorly. -The officiating was questionable for both teams. -Yazell choked on the line, and it cost the game. -Yazell and O'Mara go 24-10 and 23-10 respectively. -Mason gets the win. -No one, including MC fans are happy with the game. Sounds like Kentucky Tournament basketball to me!
  2. Mason by 8. Just because that's what this teams potential is.
  3. Incredible that Yazell miss 4 FTs. How often does that happen?
  4. As much as I agree, I have to say that during tournament time; especially Kentucky tournament time you can't count anyone a shoe-in. Unless we are discussing Boley for Mrs. Basketball. Ha!
  5. From my estimation, I believe we can conclude Mason has the most proven team in the region. Yes, you can argue that Campbell beat them, on a night where the lady royals shot less than 30% (21% on the night?) from the field. And looking at the stats from the season, that is the only night they have shot that poorly. Between the Lady Royals defense and transition game they have the ability to consistently play at a higher level than anyone else in the region which logically puts them as the top seed. BUT, this is tournament basketball in the most competitive pound for pound basketball State in the nation, so, it's anyone's game. Also, any team with a starting five that played through the Final Four the previous year should be treated as a team that can play consistently on a high level.
  6. I'm very curious about this as well. Until we find any information out, I guess we have to go with "Tradition never graduates"?
  7. Although Creech has talent and has the ability to score in large numbers, Boley would run circles around her in any situation. Boley wins Mrs. Basketball.
  8. I think regardless 1000 pts, and 500-500 of any of the other stats is a lot. I still think in broad strokes that those stats on paper show off a well rounded player who contributed to their team over a 3-4 year varsity scape.
  9. Meet takes it by 12, barring sacred heart hitting everything from 12 ft+. Gonna be a great game!
  10. In broad strokes, I think 1000-500-500 is a strong statistical determination for a consistent and reliable player over the course of 3-4 years playing varsity ball. Sure.
  11. I'm going to take Ryle by 9, and just throw out there that it'll come down to the last 3 minutes of free throw shooting if the Lady Camels get rolling.
  12. I absolutely agree. The odd thing to me is that Basketball is heavily weighted as one of Kentucky's (as a state, not just UK) greatest assets. Which leads me to believe there would be more invested in the entirety of the sport. I dunno, maybe I'm just hopeful.
  13. I think personally that Rebounds, Blocks, Steals, Deflections, turn overs caused. All the things that are difficult to track! Ha!
  14. I think I have to give it to Cummins. She has done more work in the games I've watched than any other players.
  15. I have been scouring the internet for information on teams and players through out KY this season and have yet to find any news outlet, BGpreper or even stat accumulating webpage that sites defense and team play more important than scoring. Why are defensive stats and more importantly assists not posted as regularly as the scoring stats in KY? Are there sources that I can use to find these stats out? Thanks!
  16. Agreed. But let's not forget that Mason didn't make a single basket (including well executed plays giving them wide open looks) for about 6-7 minutes of play time last night, giving them that 24% shooting score... So to play a team that separated themselves from the rest of the pack, and to lose by 8 shooting 24%... Not only is there no shame, Butler should be wondering how they let it the lady Royals bring it back to 8.
  17. Man, was this not telling the future or what?! Ha! What a game!
  18. I honestly can say I think this game will be decided by one last possession and the free throws at the end. I'll take Mason by 6 haha! I think if Frodge and O'Mara start hitting shots this team will be hard to slow down.
  19. I don't know why I put down lex Cath, I must have been intoxicated on lunch break! You're right about that one, but I took MC over Murray because I whole heartedly believe that if both squads play a good game, Mason has the edge. But who knows! Haha
