  1. Amazing we haven't been playing for years, huh???
  2. 1301 High School Drive, Union City TN appears to be correct. Came right up and their stadium is also called War Memorial
  3. It's still up in the air. I think they will both play the position depending on game situation. Both are very talented.
  4. Mayfield: Kyle Hurt. There are several talented kids on the team. But, Kyle's the guy. DB. Fastest (arguably) kid on the team. Could set long-jump records come track time. Natural senior leader. Check his hudl.
  5. I REALLY like the tougher schedule! Hoptown and Union City will be formidable foes and will test the Cardinals early. Makes for more enjoyable Friday night viewing but I hope it also helps come tournament time. We will have a couple of hurdles after the regular season is over. I think both QB's will do well and we can win games with either. The O-line is among the best there are and should give the QB time to do some work.
  6. Corbin V Mayfield is in it's 3rd year regular season and they try to "meet in the middle" in order to play. They played at Lindsey Wilson in Columbia KY the last two seasons and it has been moved to Clarksville this year.
  7. Mayfield's economy is growing. People have moved away but there are plenty moving in. The recent expansions at Mayfield Elementary and Mayfield Middle are examples.
  8. I haven't seen or heard anything on those kids. I have, however, seen and heard from kids from last year that are making big waves.
  9. Watched practice this morning for a while and both QB's appear to be doing VERY well! I really don't know which one will get the call. Maybe both?? The O and D lines are stacked with upper classmen as are the D-backs. 4-5 RB's ready to roll. All that being said, it's a re-building year... like every year. :lol2:
  10. I wonder which way the McC v Mayfield rivalry will go this year.
  11. :ylsuper: DEFENSIVE BACKS are top notch :taz: So is the O-line. The RB's are not as experienced but there is a TON of talent there and at the receiver positions. I couldn't make the 7 on 7 but hear they looked good. Won all 3 I believe.
  12. I know Mike R and he's a good guy and good coach. Our experience with him has been excellent.
  13. Regarding middle schools games this past fall: McCracken consolidated teams handily beat the Mayfield teams... both of which are consistently strong.
  14. I was surprised by this game. RV is a good team so not to take away from them but I expected it to be closer. This MF team is sophomore heavy. One senior and one Junior that get any playing time. BIG things to come for these boys.
  15. Broke a bone in his arm in an auto accident. Sad for him and the team.
  16. Just heard they are saying on the McCracken fan side that he has already signed.
  17. I really don't know how many times I've watched that Trajon vine... 1,000?
  18. I watched the traditional Thanksgiving Day practice at War Memorial. I see no signs of nervousness... Just a bunch of talented kids with big hearts playing a game they love. CAL is tough and well coached but they will fall. So will whoever is there the next Sunday. (Be cool if it's the 2 public schools still standing, huh?) Yes, the Cardinals look that good... and I've been watching them for a LONG time.
  19. Rex and a couple good receivers but no defense. Mayfield BIG!
