Most know its never a good idea to poke the sleeping bear. Butler did just that beating the senior Cards in the middle school playoffs.

Butler has given up a ton of points to any team with a pulse this year, 52-15 red and black.

2 prolific offensive teams. I think Mayfield's D will look at this as a challenge and take it to heart and play big.. I do expect Butler to manage a couple of big plays and score a few, but, I don't see Butler being able to keep pace against Mayfield's offensive weapons, team speed and overall depth.. LOL!!! Wow, TP, I thought you were going to say Butler County popped off last night! I didn't realize the "poke" came when they were in middle school. Lol.....

Butler County holds a special place in my heart. Some of my favorite fishing spots are around Morgantown, and my mom still lives there. I picked BC just to keep Mayfield from getting 100%

We use whatever we can to get extra motivated.

We had 7th graders that played up in that game that still talk about it. When you've only lost a handful of games your entire life, you tend to remember them.

Rex and a couple good receivers but no defense.

Those seniors have only experienced 3 losses since that game and some of our juniors also played up in that middle school game and have only tasted a L twice since that 8-0 Butler Middle win. They recall it and wish to make sure they end King Rex and the other senior Butler Countians season/HS careers.

Was the OCath / Butler County game as lopsided as the score would suggest? Not to look ahead too far, but what, if anything, can we learn about the potential MF/OCath matchup from this week's contest? How does BC's passing game stack up relative to OCath's?

I think the biggest thing we will need to do is contain Rex when he runs. Not to worried about him hurting us through the air
