Again taken out of context I already explained this post later in this thread not gonna explain it again however thanks for your input. But I will say again talent doesn't always turn into to on field production of you read my second post on the subject maybe it will shed light on the first. Nothing against catholic any at all but central is the most well rounded team I have seen BC play all year and thats not a knock because catholic was a good team. I think the catholic central game should be an exciting game to watch going back to the male trinity brian brohm michael bush state final offensive shoot out kinda exciting. Not knocking there defense for either but both offense seem to operate on big plays should be a great game.

Well allow me to explain I said overall all talent at all positions sure each of those teams had players that could play and talent however were talking about talent or athletic ability not on field production two completely different things. Also the second round was prediction meaning it happened prior to as in preseason I have the paper article showing where we were to go 8-2 regular season losing to danville and highlands and would be luck to make it past 2nd round of the playoffs. The original post also said we had several d1 players and even though wku and eku are d1 I don't believe that was what the poster was saying. I had a coach for Boyle tell me last night that this team had more talent than a lot of those classes and he also played during those years so I am going to take his word and mine givin the fact we lived it. I am no way shape or form trying to argue I am stating what I believe and you took some of what I said out of context which I should have done better explaining the prediction was preseason and that I mean position to position not player to player on talent level. example would be Duggins vs Robbins no doubt one was a Mr football winner however the other has two of the biggest te ever at bc I was simply saying position to position sorry if I was confusing.

First off let me start with this I played on 4 of those five teams and never were those games won based on talent. This year the 2015 team was more talented overall at more positions than any of those teams. With the that said this team is a great team but all year the lack that edge that the 5 smith coached teams had before them. The 2003 team was so lacking in overall talent they weren't even picked to win but the first playoff game and even cross town Danville was suppose to beat them. I apologize but it's disrespectful to what we were able to accomplish to use the word talent as talent had nothing to with it. I won't say some of it didn't help but some of those teams had no college athletes and the 2003 class had only two one went to eku and the other wku hardly what I would consider major d1 schools. Again I am not knocking any team I had the privilege to play for they were all good teams but that's it in a nut shell we were and still are family that's what got us where we wanted to go.

BCHS per khsaa stats 1836 rushing give or take a mathematical error for either 2270 passing had one game of 414 passing but that's actually very even statistics I would say they are very well rounded offensively I think people are saying the running game that boyle does have is more power than speed.

I dont think people mean favor Boyle as much as they mean hurt central. IMO as I have not posted about this topic and do not care however I think people mean that it will negatively affect central. I assume people are coming to this conclusion because the original post about the field was that it was messy when the poster watched them play western hills. The final of that game was 21-6 I think the original poster came to the conclusion that the field lead to some poor play on the part of central. That the reason behind it that I came up with and again just answering your question as I do not have an opinion on the matter myself.

Ok thanks for clarification I didn't expect it to be rest to prevent injury while playing a lesser team given that all games are win or go home from here on out. I assumed it had to do with rest for those who were a little banged up but you know what happens when you assume thanks again.

I read the original as NO. 4 and not No #4 I was looking at it as an abbreviation thanks for pointing that out or I wouldn't have realized it.

Yes I agree the previous (recent) performances are not gonna cut it from here on out.

I pulled stats from KHSAA and Herald leader for 8 of PLD games couldnt find one game and on the average they allow 130 passing yards a game and 100 rushing. IMO thats a far cry from run heavy defense and sounds more balanced. in those 8 games they allowed 1040 passing and 803 rushing thats well rounded and I would take that from my defense any season.

Information I didn't know however I have never liked to rely on one player so hopefully it wouldn't have made a huge difference and Scott has more depth. Either way I hope BC dominates both sides of the ball like they should. I was simply stating and no one can deny the past couple weeks the rebels have simply gone through the motions. The team that played catholic and western hills can get beat this Friday and will get beat against a good central or catholic rematch.

given the fact that BC passing game has suffered in recent weeks I would have to disagree with it playing right in BC hands. Also Scott county is a great team and they had the same score against them last week I wouldn't over look Dunbar defensively passing or other wise.

14-7 BC I really felt like Rebels lacked focus against Lincoln and intensity against LC. Then they seem to lack both against western hills I think they can get some of that back just not sure they will. This game should be a defensive battle that I think boyle will win but low scoring.

They have been shut out once this year not sure why that's so far fetched. But I am not saying they won't have success I just think it will be a defensive battle which plays to Boyles strength and if it goes that way I think they can shut them out.

I feel like it will be a dog fight but BC wins 21-0 in a game that is close 14-0 before Boyle caps off the win at the end making the final 21-0

Yes he played defense for the varsity which is what the article you posted is about the original discussion was the freshman game between these two senior classes in which BC QB didn't play

He was a receiver for the varsity as a freshman and played some QB in a wildcat type role but the freshman QB was Nick Roney

One major thing that has changed is that BC QB started for the varsity as a freshman and a different player was the freshman QB in that game.

Stats do not always show everything. I was on the BC sideline as Lincoln drove on BC not once but twice. During both times I could hear the ball coach screaming about the lack of intensity. Given the fact of the stats and that Lincoln drove twice scoring once on offense that is a lack of performance and a let down prior to half. I am going based on previous comments that he took it easy on Travis a former player and I am saying that is simply not the case. Lincoln scored on and drove on BC starters not the JV was all I was stating. BC also had 403 total yards not sure based on stats how that was a let down either. Overall it would be safe to say just bad performance by and team that can be better.

Given the defensive (lack of) performance at lincoln I think we will see Boyle play a complete game in preparation for what follows garrard. With that said I dont see GC scoring and I am going with 56-0 Boyle. (by complete game I mean domination and focus on both sides of the ball and not that he wont pull the starters)

I am a BC fan and as much as I will always think they are the best I feel like belfry has not done anything to lose that top spot given the fact they are current champion. I don't even feel that if they get beat this weekend that they should lose that spot. I look at each class as a conference and if using Alabama or any sec team for that matter were to get beat by a non-conference school does that mean they should lose top spot in sec? To me that answer is no but if belfry were to fall to a state school we have more to go by. However they have earned the right to be #1 until someone from Kentucky preferably 3A takes that away from them on the field. A loss Friday may change there overall state ranking but the class in my eye should stay the same until or even if someone in 3A takes them down.

I agree I felt like at first he let off until I heard him from the BC sideline screaming about lack of intensity. If that is true and I felt like it was from where I was watching that is something BC needs to work on over this bye week. Starting this week they are preparing for a deep title run which will take intensity. If there ever was a coaching staff that could get it out of players its this one so we will see how if any things change in two weeks. I look for them to be an extremely focused and determined team I would hate to be the opposing team.

I feel like south warren isnt getting credit central beat tilghman who a lot consider to be a contender in a very good 3A class. They also went toe to toe with the current 3A favorite and south warren blanked them. I feel like central two losses are to very good football teams and they have beaten one very good team.
