Not sure where this came from,, but the game was not as close as the score suggests. If Cooper had played defense on that last scoring drive of Ryle the way they had the whole game,, I believe Ryle does not score. Their stats look better because of Cooper backing off and playing more of a "prevent" coverage.

Tonight I saw two teams leave it on the field. The game lived up to the hype. What I am most impressed about was the level of sportsmanship displayed on the field. After many of the hits, each team helped the other up. There was no extracurricular activity going on. Two well coached teams playing the game the way it is supposed to be played. Both schools should be proud of their teams. At a time when we have seen players take out referee's and cheap shot one another,, these two teams did it the right way tonight. I commend both coaches on a well played game. Good luck the rest of the season for both teams,, one can only hope they can see each other again in the playoffs.

Great question,,, I thought he would be a bigger part of the Ryle running attack. Looking at the box scores on the CovCath game, he was one of the leading rushers.

He does have Cooper ahead if you look at the breakdown quarter by quarter

I think it just as ridiculous to award a high rank for wins against multiple teams with zero wins.

By that same logic you should pick Cooper,, Ryle beat Lexington Catholic by 7 points,, Cooper held them to zero points and very little offense at all. This is going to be a close game,, but I think Cooper edges Ryle

Cov Cath wins by a lot,, I do not think the Grant County program has improved to the point to play with the Colonels.

Did they lose the kids to other programs or did they decide not to play? I have heard Cooper has lost kids to CovCath and to Ryle in the past

Should be an easy game for Ryle,,GRC does not have the talent to make this one a challenging game

Dixie wins this one. I have saw Boone play against Ryle. If Ryle did not pull their starters midway through the 2nd quarter. They could have easily put up 70 against them.

I agree. Coopers QB is not there yet. His accuracy really hurt them against SK. If their RB plays it should take some pressure off of him. I do not think he is good enough at this point in the season to beat other teams with his arm.

It was a good game,, I did not get there until the 2nd quarter but the Center/QB exchange for Cooper was their demise tonight. I think their quarterback had many miscues as well missing open receivers. As long as teams can make Cooper one dimensional and make them pass they may have success against the Jags. The positive thing for Cooper is their Defense. If they can get the offense going, they will be a solid team come playoffs. My hat is off to SK,, they played a real good game tonight,, their only weakness would be their kicking game. It will be good to see how both teams progress and what type of match up it will be if they meet again in the playoffs. I know its a little off topic but I did see Armstrong kid not dress tonight, what's the story on him?

If SK comes into this game over looking Cooper they could find themselves in a tough game. I think this game going to be closer than many are predicting. I think it is going to be won at the line of scrimmage. To that, I give SK the edge. If Cooper can contend with the size of SK's line, they may find a way to squeeze out a win. SK wins this one, 21-14

Not sure how this list was developed. SK is probably the team to beat in the area. I am not sold on Ryle yet and I think the jury is still out on Cooper. This week should provide a clearer picture as to what Ryle has. It will be interesting to see how Cooper rebounds from their loss to Bryan Station. Beechwood may be ranked a little high as well.

Even though they are taking their lumps right now,, I think they will be better and battle tested when it counts. The "Highlands System" will always make them a Contender. However, with the current talent level in Ft. Thomas, their path to Bowling Green will be a more difficult one.

I agree,, and I am in no way condoning the behavior of the players. I will say that in the heat of the moment, we all have made bad decisions once provoked. These two young men are absolutely wrong in their behavior. Yet, we cannot totally excuse the action of the ADULT on the field. At what point is it okay for an official who is charged with keeping the order of the game,, to allegedly call a player any racially based term. I remember a few years ago when the player from I think the Cleveland Browns shoved a ref to the ground when a flag was thrown and it hit him in the eye. The initial response was the player should be expelled from game, until he appeared on TV with his eye completely closed as a result of the flag. I say let the investigation take place and find out what totally happened here. While the video does paint an obvious picture as to what took place, would it have happened if the ADULT in the incident not added fuel to the fire. As a former coach, my initial response would be to severely discipline the boys after witnessing what I saw on the field. Taking a step back a looking at it from all sides, I am more apt to wait and hear what was said and then dish out a punishment based on the facts.

As I have said before I do not have a dog in the fight. Other than it being some very interesting reading I really don't care. However,, now that we seem to have gotten to who made the decision, is this horse officially dead? A lot of passion seems to be surrounding this particular issue and I am not sure why. Although, It has held the attention of a few people,, me included.

I have asked this question on a different thread but is this horse dead yet? Nine pages of posts on a question that has been decided and nothing posted here is going to change it. Nonetheless,, it does make for some interesting reading. I really enjoy the conspiracy theories that have surfaced

Not sure how Cooper can be any lower. I think too much is being made of the loss to Bryan Station. They are a good football team that by most of the posts I have seen had an off night. I still think it is a toss up between Ryle and Cooper. I think they would beat Beechwood and have beat Highlands. So IMO maybe they are ranked properly.

For the past couple of years, CC has handed Cooper a loss. I think they may have their number. I may be wrong, but I think the Camels win a close one.

I was not at the game,,and the result was pretty one sided but has Boone changed its offense and defense?

I think Ryle wins this one,, but I would not be surprised if Highlands made it a game.
