The offense had another slow start tonight, with penalties galore being the cause of stalled short drives. Yet they got their rhythm going with 28 points in the 2nd quarter. Yes I would prefer quicker starts, it helps take some of the pressure off...I did like seeing us working on our ground game tonight, this equates to ball control. When did pass, Johnson's passes were very crisp and on the money(no drops either, nice).......And if the defense can keep on keeping their opponents locked up on their side of the field like they did tonight, then I like our chances next Friday. The Dragons never crossed midfield, and didn't get a first down till late in the game. I only remember them throwing one pass the whole game (an interception at that) which only played right to our strength. Thanks to Green County, man your defense really hits hard! Talked to some of your fans and they were very gracious. Oh yeah, love those Packer helmets.... Now on to Monroe County Go Colts!

Scored on first 3 plays from offense, 49-0 at end on first quarter.....A big shout to Shawnee's team and coach, thanks for coming out ....I love teams that have little chance but BIG hearts!....your kids are what makes Kentucky High School great ....not always the winners but the characters of those face large undoubting challenges, win or lose on the scoreboard you guys are still winners in characters in REAL life......thanks Golden Eagles !

Total mismatch......Nice senior night presentation before the game. Could have done without the loud music between each play in the first quarter, wonder who was the genius behind that???..... Shawnee's coach is a heck of a guy to bring his kids down to Fairdale and give a valiant try. Thanks coach

Bigshow you are seeing what I saw earlier this season..... A breakaway running back would be nice, but we got a big line and a big back in Smith. Yet were not getting the run production we what, why is that ? we should be controlling the line better, forcing our will so to speak.... If we become more sure handed (less drops) the passing game is good to go. We run nice routes ..... We can score against the CALs and Fern Creeks, we need that extra push up front. As least that is the way I see it. Were only as good as good as our line will take us.

Good to get back in the win column. Can't remember any drop passes, which have hamper this team in both losses.........I really like their stadium, no track, so you sit up close to the field. P.S. nice band too....

Should had put CAL above the Colts, they earn it. We got to fix a few things before meet them again (like taking care of the ball for one).....Hope recent history repeats it self....

I agree, turnovers, winning the war in the trenches. all will play apart in who wins... Carr15, your boy must be one heck of a player and I can't wait to see him play. To be a freshman and play against the quality competition that CAL has played, wow. You guys have a nice stadium too.

Well said DeSales Dad.....we packed their house every time we played them there. In fact (after giving my seat to lady) I stood along the track and then sat on their side during the second half of last years playoff game. Looking across the field I could see we had huge crowd we had there, packing all the bleachers. Also, the track had fans stretched from end zone to end zone. Sorry I didn't realized that this rivalry had a bit of a 'dark side'. Hope this year game is clean and safe..... Go Colts !

The weather prospects are getting better. The rain should come in late Thursday and be out of the Louisville area by noon on Friday. At least the last time I check at 6pm today (10/6).....As for the rivalry, CAL is well coached and will be gunning for us. Other than the Anderson situation, most of the games these past few years have been mostly clean and hard hitting. He who controls the line of scrimmage should win. Hope Austin Johnson is back at QB and healthy too. Also I hope CAL has added more seats for the visiting side cause the Colt faithful will be out there in large numbers again.

Has anyone seen both teams in action this season? Love to hear your take on this game. Go Colts!

Hear ya Bigshow,,,,,I have faith in the coaching staff and I know the kids are going to respond well. Good teams learn more from their losses then from their wins. Just look at the last two seasons after losing to CAL, you can see how much better we got after those defeats. Can't wait to see the team play this Friday @ North Hardin. I'm sure I will see you there
