I think if Boyle continues to win their RPI will go up significantly based on the middle part of their schedule. Mercer, CAL, HHS and Lex Cath are all going to generate a lot of wins to add to the formula.

Not too many. Reese Smith does and Roller at LB/TE. Kelly sometimes plays in the OLine. Bartelson at CB/RB but Boyle platoons RB with two others: Sacco and McDaniel.

Boyle's backs are quick and Bartelson is fast out of the hole. (He's the one going to Notre Dame) Still I think Bartelson is maybe even better in the Secondary. OLine isn't huge but they played well vs CAL's big Lines. I think their best performance as a unit was last Friday and they seem to be getting better each game. Boyle Defense is very fast. (Kind of like the Mueller teams had in their big run) Wilson Kelly is a great DLineman. (if he were 2 inches taller he'd be getting Division 1 offers rather than FCS level) The LB's flow well to the ball and Reese Smith is a ball hunter from his Safety spot. (WVU commit) Jackson Smith is an outstanding kicker. Only a sophomore but he's one of the highest ranked Kickers in the Nation.

Very important question. He is a difference maker for Boyle in the Secondary and in the Backfield with his speed.

Probably more accurate than some of the predictions here.

Is CAL still banged up? I think Mercer has a chance but CAL will likely pull it out.

I’ve said all season that this four game stretch is Boyle’s chance to show their mettle. I’ll let their performance speak for them. So far they’ve spoken loudly

No I don't. I think Trinity and Male are way above anyone in the state. The race under them is a large group of teams that could stake a claim to being #3 or so. :thumb:

If they do that to Highlands I will believe you. But the Birds defense will make it hard to do that.

CAL’s Offense did some things vs Boyle’s Defense. But they couldn’t keep pace with that offense Boyle has going now.

No. I wasn’t overly impressed with CAL. HHS won’t be a running clock. With the points Lex Cath produces it will be hard to see one there. Last year and/or the year before Cov Cath May have done it for the season or all but one game.

Fourth String Senior scored last TD on a run up the middle. Bartelson was only able to play the first series.

CAL fortunate there. Pick up a fumble inside their 5 and return it for a TD.

I would think the chances would be long because of the "opponents opponents" factors. At least I think that's the 3rd part of the 3 legged stool of wins/losses, opponents record, opponents opponents.

I honestly feel sorry for Johnson Central because they have to struggle to fill their schedule every year. I know location can be in issue but the greater one is the EKY teams that won't schedule them for fear of a loss IMO. I wish some KY programs would step up to the plate and fill the voids. I know the two year contract with Boyle back in 2009-10 was a good one but now that they are in the same Class I don't see it happening again soon.

Take away one pass attempt and the Average per pass would have been much worse. Not sure passing more would have helped.
