Could not be prouder of this year's Lexington Catholic team. Coach Perry has done an amazing job with these kids and they've showed up when it mattered to reach this point in the season. For all the knocks on their defense this year, they've surprised me and have risen to the occasion time and again.

If Lafayette wants to beat Simon Kenton, they're going to need to to play solid defense. Even better than the effort they gave tonight against Scott Co. in the red zone.

I was following the update thread. What a game. Definitely lived up to the hype. Two great 6A teams.

Sounds like this one was a dog fight all night. Really proud of the Knights for pulling this one out.

I believe it was. I think Male may face a challenge from someone in the semis or state title game, but they should win state.

Big congrats to Coach Mark Perry of Lexington Catholic. He did a fantastic job this season. Hopefully it's not over quite yet.

He may have once or twice in Wildcat formation or for a gimmick play, but not at any great length like tonight.

Every fan base has their fair share of those types. Best way to get back at them is on the scoreboard. I think the Knights took care of business pretty well in that aspect tonight.

My question to them would be, "Who gave up 59 points tonight?"

Oh stop. If Lexington Catholic would have kept their foot on the pedal on offense this wouldn't have been close. They got up 21-0 and tried to coast. Puzzling how much they changed their offensive game after that.

I guess a Lexington school played some defense tonight.

Wow. Shocked! I didn't think the Knights had it in them this year. Very proud of the team for this one.
