Who is the preseason favorite in the 11th region? Who are sleepers? Who are the players to watch?

I haven't seen anything yet, but I expect the field to be loaded again this year.

Good to hear. Coach Perry has these kids on the right track this early in the season. It's easy to lose focus after a blowout.

Is Coach Carlberg still the head coach at Apollo?

I've heard good things. I've yet to see him play in-person. Looking forward to Friday night and the rest of the season with him at the helm for the Knights.

I'm interested in seeing Davonte Robinson of Henry Clay. Solid commitment for Coach Stoops and UK. I don't think Henry Clay can win this, but they may keep it close for a half before X takes control. Should be a good start to the Bluegrass Bowl at Lexington Catholic.

Belfry may be a slow starter, but I don't think Tates Creek has the talent to stay with them at all. Belfry shouldn't have any trouble in this one and should roll.

Great early season test for Catholic. They have a very tough schedule this year. It's going to be interesting to see how they play in Coach Engler's homecoming to his old stomping ground. With Jones back this week, I expect a nice balance of the air and ground game to keep Ryle's D on their toes. I'm intrigued by the QB matchup. I know Tanner Morgan is a playmaker. I have yet to see much of Legend Brumbaugh. Hopefully he doesn't disappoint. He has all the weapons to excel at LC.

Bryan Station has speed on both sides of the ball. Simon Kenton is a tough squad that should prove to be a good early season measuring stick for the Defenders. I predict a shootout that could go either way. This early in the season though, I'll take SK by 7.
