Kevin Wallace at BG got "Michael Jordaned" Seabolt from Greenwood has done good but should that be reason enough to win coach of year? No biggie but I never understood that train of thought. Don't penalize a coach for keeping his team at top of totem pole.

Great stats but have to question competition when finished 4th in district. Mightve had something to do with it.

I agree, though I had picked Robbins to win Mr. Football early in the season, but definitely tailed off towards the end. JJ was consistent from start to finish. JJ will definitely be in the ALL STATE team. Congrats to Coach Perry.

The awards in this thread are a KFCA award, correct? As such only members of the KFCA are eligible. Is that right?

I guess it is hard to argue with an undefeated record and playing for a regional crown but I am not convinced of how much coaching has actually impacted etown's season. I think perhaps a lack of coaching among their opponents, combined with amazing talent and a great 2-way, field coach in Jack Wilson has delivered this great run! IMO, some of the best coaches are the ones that do things that they should not be able to do with the pieces that they have. But again, it is difficult to argue when they're sitting on top of the region and almost state and picking up steam

Often times, being a great coach is more than just keeping a very talented and athletic team at the top. No disrespect to Coach Wallace and his staff, but many of us on this board could walk into BG next season and win.

Coaches who get the best out of their players that aren't as athletic deserve credit when credit is due. Congratulations to Coach Seabolt.
