You have to look at a football game in 3 parts...Offense ,Defense and Special teams...Not great on offense and special teams needs much work but defense has been good..got to keep offense on field longer can't have D stay on field too much...missing a few players hurts too....still 3-3 with one of toughest schedules around....tell me another team with this kind of schedule in this area (leave out trinity/st x--that's another "Springer Show")....play tough teams to show where you need improvements and not just play cupcakes!

Inflated by the 42 they allowed by BG and the 24 scored by SW was mainly due to special teams...only allowed 1 offensive TD to SW...thanks for playing

Was there as a freshman. He is a good kid too. Wants to do what helps the program. Think with a few more pages of playbook opened he could really lead this team down the stretch.

Defense is what CH hangs hat on. Offense has to stay on field longer than against BG. Very impressed with BG btw! Keep saying inexperienced QB, but Iler has been a QB as Freshman and JV and been in system. Inexperienced as game action in varsity yes. Hope to see the playbook opened a little more in upcoming games. Just my thoughts too!

Always a tradition of fans in end zone...also have noticed this at other schools...yes some fans did engage in some talk, this I don't condone! We are adults and they are kids! But a couple of BG players initiated a few "conversations " but I won't let one/bad apples spoil the bunch and still tip my hat to BG! Just hope you don't let one/two bad apples spoil bunch for CH fans! Very impressed with BG and not just cause they trounced CH but how they did it with the conditions they played in! Have watched both SW and now BG beat CH and I must say, BG is superior! Good luck to the purples rest of way!

Disagree on why they have record they have because of who they played. Investigate those teams schedules. North always seems to have great athletes but they play for ME not US.

Yes Barbour played. Did not get loose tonight. Offense is still struggling for Central. BG is a very disciplined team as far football goes, trash talking is another story- toward fans especially. But BG is for real and believe they are much better than SW. Bibb was still out for CH and Arnette was too. Also, Krupinski was not at 100% as was Talley who was done at half (foot injury) CH should win out and hopefully find an offensive identity along the way. Good job to BG!

Not so sure Bibb is back. Think he still sits this one out. Could be an entertaining game as the playbook was opened up a little more against John Hardin. Central will be ready but more concerned for district play.

If CH can correct the miscues and get up early, JH could hang heads again! Defense will be key here. Other injuries could play a role too. Look for CH by 14 or more.

But CH won that 7v7 tourney. ..just saying! I know it doesn't mean anything during Friday Night Lights just throwing it out there.

Disappointing performance from CH early but some good adjustments at half and you saw the real CH show up. Penalties are a concern but a few were from bad officiating too. Still liking that it's early and CH is far from peaking. Look for a more focused Bruin squad next week.

They have to get by NO and NH...not likely...and don't think they are threat to win state title as they woukd get blown up by Boyle Co or Paducah T...not even in same neighborhood as those teams

CHHS also lists Jacob Hobbs as only other QB on roster behind Iler.

He was not a coach at Central Hardin. He did coach youth league but was coaching at LaRue Middle before going to Taylor. He had one son at LaRue and one at Central...weird setup if you ask me. Taylor didn't get "Lombardi "

Very interesting information. It just seems that "rules" aren't consistent when it comes to the public/private debate. If it is a foul the 1st minute of the game it should still be a foul with a tie game with 1 second left. Meaning rules are rules no matter the participants.

No where did I put false information on BGP. This is a discussion forum right? I stated an opinion and then even went so far as to say this is my opinion. So, educate me! Transfer rules pertain to private schools? Tuition(scholarship) whether full or partial is offered by public schools? I'm curious as to all. I'm not being difficult, I want to be informed so I know the difference between public and private. I enjoy these forums btw.

Love how you qualify your statement by saying "actively recruit players" ...there are different ways to get players to schools both public and private it's just private has more resources. This is my opinion as an individual and does not reflect any institution public or private. Good enough disclaimer?

So you are saying as a private school, they can't recruit? They can actually bring in out of county "students"! Right?

Actually CH blocked 1 XP and 1 FG attempt...the other XP that PT missed just banged off upright...playbook actually was opened up a little more last night for CH too!

Most of PT yards were passing on scrambles with receivers releasing down field....CH had a 75 yd passing TD called back by phantom holding....PT not disciplined on defense enough and got beat on counters all night! Good win for CH and PT can learn alot!

Not to sound mean ....but North Middle is way down. ..don't think it was West's defense as it was just lack of athletes and players at North....West has struggled for several years and that stinks as we need them to start producing to contribute to CHHS. Hurt losing Elmore to East too. Looking for big things from CHHS by the time these 8th graders are juniors with the senior class ahead of them.
