JC had a great season, but there is no beating SW. Their offense was too slow. It was an impressive game against LexCath, though.

When I was at Elkhorn City in the 70's we played Henry Clay. Beat them 14-13. Did we have any business playing with them? We we did.....

Had Kash Daniels played against Pikeville, Paintsville is a different ball team, but that is here nor there. Paintsville program is building, and that is saying a lot considering 3 years ago they lost to Jenkins at home.

Voted for Larky. What he did at Rock was very impressive in the 90/00's and then later in his career come back and establish Harlan County was awesome. Had the current alignment been in effect while he was at Rock, Larkey may have won one or two titles away from the Bluebirds or Boyle

Larry Shawn Thacker, former Pike County Central HFC, is supposedly the new coach at Caverna.

But we shouldn't consider it "base level thinking." Football is a complex game where every dynamic can impact its result. I've not watched the videos, but I'm wondering the strength of opponents that this team faces. Are you going to see them do that against a Louisville Trinity? Hoover Alabama? De La Salle California?

Hampton or Johnson. I would lean towards Hampton because of experience, but Johnson's mother works at the CO. If you guys think Shelby Valley High School has nice facilities, you should see the rest of the county! Even Phelps has a new state of the art facility.

Eric Ratliff to Pike County Central is a done deal. Look for the media soon. Shelby Valley is now open.

I've known Eric for a very long time. He will go bonkers if he doesn't coach some sport. He was the Head Baseball Coach at PCC a very long time ago.

Shelby Valley HFC, Eric Ratliff, is considered the front runner for the Pike Central job.

East Ridge and Coach McCoy continue to get things done! Always a great win to knock off Shelby Valley!

Would be interesting to see what games they dropped. I know Pikeville + their district slate, but I'm sure they kept teams like Betsy Layne and McCreary Central. It will be nearly impossible to find that many open dates in the middle of a cycle.

Rumors I'm hearing at the moment: 1) Sheldon Clark is going to hire former Magoffin County HC, Chester McCoy (Father of current HC, Scotty McCoy) 2) Pike County Central may be open and Eric Ratliff (Shelby Valley) may be the front runner. 3) David Jones was OFFICIALLY named Head Football Coach at Phelps High School per WYMT/EKB News
