I'm now completely sold that FD is #1 in 5A.

CovCath is unlucky in terms of timing their scheduling with a Cincinnati team. Seems that everytime they do that its the worst year to do that. Last year would have been perfect to schedule Cincy teams. This La Salle team is going to roll us this year and may potentially ruin our season with injuries. I think Highlands will have a good shot against CovCath this year if CovCath gets steamrolled by La Salle with injuries.

Don't know why we're insistent of keeping FD at #1. But I guess we'll see if they should remain there when they play Scott Co.

Calpreps projection has Boyle County winning 28-26.

Accidentally voted for Ryle. For some reason I read it as "Male vs Elder". But anyway, I think Elder will win in a shut out. Ryle has no offense.

I don't see how that's preposterous at all. 38-20 would be the closest score since the 2015 series when CovCath won 41-21. And CovCath was really bad that year.

I just don't understand that penalty. LexCath player shoved the ballcarrier on the ground after being stopped short of the goal line. Stupid penalty by LexCath.

I don't know, CovCath has many weaknesses too. I wish I could agree but CovCath is not as good as last year. Highlands could definitely beat the Colonels this year.

For reference: 2014: BHS 28-13 2015: CCH 41-21 2016: CCH 44-10 2017: CCH 45-9 2018: CCH 49-14 CovCath has beaten Beechwood the past 5 seasons by average of 38-16. And 35-15 from 2009 to 2013. But then again, I should do the Highlands vs CovCath averages. Those won't be pretty. But yeah I agree, even when CovCath was getting consistently beaten by Highlands, pulling the plug on the rivalry was never on our minds.

In 2017 and especially 2018 CovCath blew out teams that were definitely better than Lafayette, PLD, Tates Creek and Bryan Station. I'm not saying FD isnt good, their margins are telling and I'm anticipating their first tough opponent, but until then I don't see how they've proven to be #1. Also, that LexCath game looked bad but not enough to take CCH down from #1 imo.

Because they haven't played anyone remotely good. Granted, the games they played were blowouts but all they've shown is that they're good at playing teams that are bad. Imo the top 5 should probably be: 1. CovCath 2. Scott County 3. South Warren 4. Fredrick Douglass 5. Highlands

This one will be a lot closer than expected imo. CovCath 35-17.

Lots of people eyeballing this game. If LexCath loses, CovCath will look awfly silly.
