All kidding aside I'm just excited for the match up. I wanted this match up last year. Unfortunately, it didn't end up that way but better late than never. I never dissed the #7 kid. I just think Wright is better. I've watched his highlights and The kid is fast, I mean night and day fast but we've seen fast all year that's my only rebuttal there.

Of course Danville improved. You bring 90 percent of last year's experience to the big carpet and you should be the favorite. I think alot of conversation is getting lost in history. Completely different teams since the last time they faced off. I believe different personnel for both staffs since then. Only thing that is funny to me is Mayfield being written off. I remember the year we came back to 2A Danville wasn't relevant that year (no offense). Everyone wrote Mayfield off and said we wouldnt have the same success as we had in 1A and blah blah blah go back and tell me who that state champion was that year. I'll wait...

Smh lol we've been the underdog since the start of the season. We beat a potential state champion and lost by 3 to a potential state champion. I like our odds. Go Cards

Same thing I was thinking. No matter how much speed your best player has. If he gets the Wright treatment, then the other players HAVE to beat us.

Also, if you look at the predictions before the playoffs started on BGP, Mayfield was suppose to make it past last week. I can't wait for Saturday. Go Cards

Mayfield 17-14

Yeah but that was recent success. Mayfield hasn't played Danville in some years. Like I mentioned before In a different post, Mayfield doesn't run that same style offense that Danville was use to playing. They utilize they're speed more with the spread offense. Mayfield didn't ever run the spread against Danville. So when you have more kids on your team with speed being utilized, it presents a different style then they are accustomed too. Now im not saying they never seen the spread offense but their coach never had to worry about mayfield utilizing more than one or two players when they've met up in past games. In the past Mayfield just ran, ran, and threw on 3rd every time. It was too predictable. Not to mention, they only had to contain a couple players in the past. This isn't that type of team and hasn't been since about 08. They are going to have to account for every reciever, running backs, and both qbs.

Thing is if Danville fans are basing then winning by previous Mayfield vs Danville record their going to be shocked. We don't even run that same style offense that we use to run. We utilize more players on offense and defense which makes us a deeper. When we played Danville in those other games in the past, we were very one dimensional. We ran the ball and threw on 3rd down. If you expecting that same type of old school Mayfield football, just run the ball type of Mayfield team, then your going to be in for a long afternoon. We spread the field with speed and skilled players. Should be a great game. Can't Wait!
