This is crazy. Do you know how hard it is for a non athlete to transfer schools? The go to the front of the line cuz you can play basketball line of thinking needs to stop. Life awaits- it's real and sometimes- most times- it's not so easy.

Check whats in their parents heads first...then their AAU coaches, then check your own (coaches) head.

Let's just trade kids like the NBA...A power forward for a point guard and a prom date to be named later.

Yep. Transferring is handled so nonchalant anymore. When did it become possible for a student just to pick up his backpack and go play for the school across the county? When did it become commonplace for a kid from Louisville to play in Boyle Co., Taylor Co. or Mercer Co.? Soon kids will be transferring from their grade school teams- Is this setting a good example? When things aren't going your kids way when it comes to positioning or playing time do you just find something better?

Ballard committed- and I say that with reservation- more fouls in the third quarter than in the 4th.

It's not right to take anything away from Owensboro. My guess is that if they played Trinity in Rupp last Sunday they probably would've avenged their earlier loss. I'm surprised that not many people brought up the fact that Boyle County shot 47 free throws last Friday night- (hit 40!) Would your favorite high school team be able to climb that officiating fiasco? Be honest... Being said- Ballard would've had a really tough time beating Owensboro.

This Boyle team can play. I've been to every Ballard game and the only opponent we faced that was better was Montverde. They gang rebound, they push the ball when they have to and they look like they're having fun. My hats off for them. By the way that#25 will only get better. Go Rebels

We were. After beating down a soft trinity bunch .. We too got soft.

Trinity fan needs to do what they do best... Remain quiet until football season.

I'd be really surprised if Cal offered a junior from Kentucky at this point. He's worthy- but I'd still be surprised.

Who is Taylor's big boy? Both scorers are around 6-2 6-3. (Goodin and Berry)

The smack tells me this is gonna be a great game! Goodin is the best player in this game. Actually one of the Taylor County players does have Rupp experience. Brandon Berry is a load to guard and he played his last three years prior to this one at Ballard. Goodin has played in front of some top-notch D-1 coaches- that's about as big as any stage as any junior can play on.

Same answer to the question could JC win?

Any team that makes it this far gets my respect. Is the Gullet kid related to reds great Don Gullett?

I like that JC gets it done in the classroom- but this game won't turn into a trivia competition at any point. Ballard has two starters who played significant minutes in a state final- that trumps any 15th regional final. E'towns loss was an eye opener indeed- Ballard won't take this or any sweet 16 game for granted. The last two wins versus two great teams was remarkable- but the state final loss two years ago was unforgettable. They'll be ready.

Your reviews are the best- undoubtedly. It seems to me that Trinity now relies on these kids who didn't go to CSAA schools in order to succeed. St Xavier recently has done the same. Both more so in football - but basketball too. How good would they be without Spalding, West, And X without Shanklin? The list is much much longer... It's obvious that DeSales can't use the same model. Their alumni pockets don't run as deep. Very fan worthy I think.

I kinda thought the same thing. I was thinking that this could be like the first Wednesday of the month at Kroger. Long lines and lots of chatter in the aisles.

It amazes me that Ballards the favorite. If you like an underdog you should cheer for Ballard. They were supposed to be the 4th best team in the 7th region. They were not even picked to be the best team in their district. It was implied that players must not like playing for Renner since two starters transferred out. Jalen Perry was not even mentioned as a Mr basketball candidate before the season. He didn't even pick up an offer until after Christmas. How could they replace Snider and Martin? Well here they are... I hope they continue winning- it's not the same old Ballard team.

I just read on twitter that all five starters for Desales are CSAA kids. If true- unbelievable and bravo! I just became a huge fan of the colts.
