Is Rupp only allowing Seniors into the student cheer sections this year? (Not True)

Featured Replies

CovCath only given 180 tickets for student section? I know they had way more than that attend the games last year.

Does CCH distribute tickets based on grade level?

And is CCH (or any school for that matter) allowed to request/pay for extra student tickets?

When I saw the title of this thread, I got all excited. Then realized you were talking about high school seniors.

I kinda thought the same thing. I was thinking that this could be like the first Wednesday of the month at Kroger. Long lines and lots of chatter in the aisles.

180 student tickets does not sound right. I believe the Seniors have been allotted 112 tickets so that would leave the rest of the school 68 tickets. My information comes from a Senior at CCH.

No. Colonelfan I presume, is just saying KHSAA gave enough tickets for only one class, and undoubtedly (at least at CCH) they would be given to the seniors if that were the case.

This would be surprising. I got the impression last season that most people enjoyed the Crazies at Rupp.

How many were they given last year? Does anyone know? I agree that there were more than 180 students in that section last year.

Significantly more than 180. 1964791_10151986628588365_137760522_n.jpg

I wouldn't read too much into this. Any student who doesn't buy a ticket at school can show up for the game and purchase a ticket there for the same price. When arriving at Rupp Arena to purchase their ticket they'll be asked what school section do they want to sit in. At that point they say, "Covington Catholic" and they'll be given a ticket with a seat in the CovCath section. Just because they allotted 180 tickets to sell at the school doesn't mean that only 180 kids can come.

Rupp has little to do with it. KHSAA usually controls the rules.

Cov Cath has plenty of tickets for the kids and fans as stated in an email from the school.

The khsaa LOVES the Crazies!!!! They will sell them 600 (their approximate enrollment) if they want them.

They like them so much that they created an award for them. Believe me, deep down in their hearts the KHSAA powers that be were silently rooting for CovCath to win the 9th for one simple reason - THEY WANT THE CRAZIES!!!! They are a sideshow that attracts other fans, and keeps or brings the team's fan who are playing the other game that day/night to the venue early or late.

They love the creativity of the group and the wholesomeness of their product - plus they eat a lot of SoftServe!!!

The school just requests more, happened to CCHS last year.
