Joseph Ammerman in Central KY

It's almost that time of year plantman!

I challenge you to sit by a Ryle mom at a wrestling tournament....you haven't seen anything until you see that!

I sat beside some insane mom last night. Screaming for her son to kill someone and to block, block, block! It went on the entire game!!!!!!!!

Who wins & why?

A wise old Official once told a mom, "this is football, if you don't want your kid hit and you don't want his feelings hurt, then you'd better tell him to play marbles. This is football and he is going to get hit!"

Ten years from now we will be lucky if you can tackle in football!

Same thing happened at Harrison Co last week against Holmes. The called a personal foul when the guy slid in the mud going out of bounds.

Correct!

What teams do you think could go into districts with a losing record and come out placing in the top two?

Ryle wins this one with a running clock early in the 3rd quarter.

I say it depends on which Harrison team shows up. If it is raining, I give this one to Harrison Co. They play well in the rain.

Great win for Harrison County. First district win in over 4 years.

Harrison up 19-8 at half.

Looks like it might be another mud fest tonight. Let's hope the weather man is wrong!

It is Homecoming for Harrison Co so the crowd may be a factor for Holmes to deal with. Harrison will by hyped and definitely have adrenaline on their side. I look for a big crowd and that to be in Harrison's favor.

Please keep Harrison County's #11 in your prayers. His father passed away yesterday. Proud that he played tonight. His dad would be proud.

Don't automatically write Harrison off in this game. They were polled as loosing last week and came from behind to win. I could be wrong, but it looks like Harrison is hitting their stride right when they should. Improvements are being seen each week.

Harrison County played a great game. Yes they were trailing at the half. Adjustments were made and they came out winning. Grant may have come out a little over confident in the second half. Cudos to Harrison for not giving up. Well played young men!

27-20 Grant up at the half. Harrison got an interception with 49 seconds left in the half but failed to score.

I know they are used on the professional level to direct players. Do any high schools use these devices and are they even legal in high school football?

As an outside observer, I have to say I think Franklin will win this game. Having seen Woodford twice in the preseason, they seem to have a problem keeping their emotions in check. If Woodford gets down on points their nasty side of emotions are liable to show their face. I expect this to be a rough game.

Don't under estimate Harrison County. They are hungry for a win. Montgomery Co may be surprised if they come into the game thinking they are just going to run over Harrison. This is a different team from the past two years.

I feel like this will be Harrison County's week. With the QB/WR combo of Jenkins and Williams I think Montgomery Co will have a hard time stopping them. Harrison's defense is going to have to step it up a notch and stop the running ball this week. Harrison County is heading in the right direction. Everything just needs to click together this week.

I think if Harrison goes into this game with the same momentum they had last week they have a great chance at winning this game. Last weeks game stung a lot and they aren't willing to just settle to keep the game close. Harrison County's junior and senior classes have some awesome players and it would be great for the seniors to have a stellar year to finish their high school careers.
