Harrison County 34 Grant County 27

Featured Replies

This one is squarely on Grant. They appeared to be pulling away with this one midway through the 2nd quarter but let Harrison get a couple big plays. About three big plays on Harrisons part, take away those and Grant won easily. But that's the joys if high school football.

Grant killed there self on ridiculous punt /pass on 4th down that was for a huge loss . Then a fumble by grant recovered by Harrison an they score again , grant rushed for 21 yards on 10 carries but first half grant qb was 9 for 11 180 passing an 2 Tds by half, then the monsoon came , grant was forced to throw the ball in 4th quarter because of no running game , an Harrison ate the clock by running there qb with some good blockers in front of him to keep the ball moving , grant needs there speed back in the back field, an only seen that happen a couple times last night. Grant needs to go back to what they started season with. grant is a very good team an we'll coached I think a couple tweeks to placement positions an they will be very hard to beat

Harrison County played a great game. Yes they were trailing at the half. Adjustments were made and they came out winning. Grant may have come out a little over confident in the second half. Cudos to Harrison for not giving up. Well played young men!

I definitely don't think they were over confident, if anything they didn't have enough confidence. They let Harrison hang around which ultimately cost them the game. If it wasn't for a few big plays, the result would of been different. This loss is on Grant. They have to learn to put the nail in the coffin.

Ecstatic for the Harrison county football team.

Not a knock to Grant County at all because I am excited to see them having success, but it takes time to learn to "put the nail in the coffin". Also, that is not something that Grant is real familiar with. Those kids will learn from this and hopefully learn how to finish games. Keep your heads up Braves, you are improving and that is all you can want: Get better every week.

You could say this about nearly every close football game

That's true but the score would not of even been close of it wasn't for them. You can definitely see the strides taken by Grant though by keeping all these games close.

Great effort by both teams. Big time players make BIG time plays, in BIG time situations. Both teams had opportunities to run away with it. Both teams were dealt the same hand in the second half, either team had the chance to finish and win the game. Great effort by GC, I wish they could somehow get in another district, they have to run the gauntlet every year. It was great to see HC finally get a win under their belt.

Grant is a solid team they will bounce back this week. Strong running back and fast QB Grant has a good running game and passing game. Quick receivers and good defensive backs they will be back in it Friday.
