Going into Districts with Losing Records

There are probably more than you think. Here are a few in 1A and 2A:

1A - Holy Cross (Louisville) 2-4; Williamsburg 1-4; Frankfort 0-6 (yes, if they get their QB back it could happen)

2A - Newport Central Catholic 2-4; Holy Cross (Covington) 2-3 (long shot); Prestonsburg 2-3; Walton Verona 2-4 (almost a lock)

In 5A, the Highlands/Cov Cath district will be won by a team with a losing record because the top 3 in the district all have losing records.

Technically if Highlands or CovCath finished the rest of their season with W's they would en 500. But then the other would obviously have a losing season and possibly finish 4-6. Highlands definitely has the best shot at finishing .500 as the only big challenge they have left seems to be CovCath. CovCath will definitely finish with a losing record as they close the season against Scott County.
