  1. I love 1A football because of how good some of these teams can be. While Bethelem and Crittenden have played low-leveled teams, I'm curious to see how they would stack up against some quality opponents. I think you could make any arguement for the top 5-6 teams to win at WKU in December. Good luck to all the teams this week!
  2. Like it has been mentioned previously in the thread, they should have played some defense, and the late TD might not be an issue right now. Regardless, Dudley is a man who is known statewide for his antics and classlessness, his actions including his most recent ones can justify that statement. I don't find it classless to let the kids play the game of football, even late into it, IMO. I highly doubt Cville would have done this to Graves' TC squad if that says anything about it all.
  3. Excellent question. What's your opinion on that? I can see scenarios where he stays or gets the boot.
  4. I don't see it disrespectful to punish a team with your offense. At any point in the game. That's the name of the game. Besides, in rivalry games like this was, who wouldn't want to beat your rival by as much as you could?
  5. I don't find it classless to put up an extra 6 points at the end of a ball game on a coach who, quite frankly, deserves it. Touchdowns are a part of a game, even with 16 seconds left. Cheating is not. Also, having a team not shake hands and their backs toward the winning team while giving out awards is just cowardly.
  6. I hope Dallas has an incredible season. I love watching them play well. Plus Romo is on my fantasy team, so there's another reason. Dallas wins this one.
  7. Racial slur or not, the kids shouldn't have retaliated like that, let alone a coach instructing them to carry it out!
  8. Expect a very great game from both teams, but I say Trinity edges this win out.
  9. That will be a great test for the Eagles. If they can win that one their chance of going through an undefeated season skyrockets. Campbellsville easily wins this one and starts off their season 4-0. Good luck to both teams!
  10. I think Green County will win easily. Green gets their 3rd win and TC stays winless.
  11. I, too, see no downside to the switch.
  12. I hope Pittsburgh puts a whooping on NE, though it's highly unlikely. A great season opener of a game, Steelers edge the Pats 24-20
  13. I believe Kentucky can edge this one out if they play like they are capable of.
  14. How does this team stack with other notable teams, both UK and other historically great teams? Obviously a lot more easier to think about once the season is over and how UK finishes.
  15. If Auburn were on the other side of the bracket I would root them on to the championship game. But UK has everything in their favor. And Auburn can't stop Kentucky's dominance.
  16. Exactly. Do not take this team as the Eagles of years past. Estes is changing that program around and it's showing. They flip flopped their record last year. They have some special kids on this roster, with tons of experience and skill. I can guarantee you they are eager to get on the field and show the state what they got.
  17. The QB that finished the last half of the season on the 3/4 game win streak before Hazard was a freshman. Taylor and Green should not be considered a slight road block. Campbellsville is one of those teams you can't sleep on and expect them to lose easy games like Taylor. These guys are the real deal this year. Glascow and Danville are the only ones to challenge the Eagles.
  18. Glascow lost their star player for sure, other than that I'm not quite sure about anything else. You can't always be sure about comparing scores of last year because of so many factors like graduating players, etc. But I do see your points. The loss to GC was definitely considered an upset, and a blowout upset at that.
  19. In the game against Green, Campbellsville had to play withput their first string QB at the time and without Young. Add the Green County homecoming into the mix and the Eagles were stunned by the Dragons. Danville I believe took some hits to their LB core and some key skill positions. Danville should definitely be a good game to watch and will be a true test for C-Ville.
  20. I loved watching Auburn win this game.
