If Crittenden don't win this game, they just don't want it, another turnover by Caldwell.

I don't know about the heated rivalry, Caldwell doesn't look at it as one, but this should be a good game. Caldwell has played 3 good teams, 5a Christian County and was in it til the end and they beat a good 5a Graves County team at Graves and had a chance til the end against A good 4a Hoptown team. The Rockets schedule pales in comparison to the Tigers and the game is in Princeton, Caldwell is without one of their better corners, something they will have to get used to with him. I think Crittenden will have to be able to run the ball to stay in the game, I'll take the Tigers in this one.

This should be an exciting game, Crittenden usually doesn't fare well against Trigg anywhere but this year isn't usually. The game is at Trigg and that's the only thing I can think of that helps Trigg this year, I'm going with Crittenden in a close one.

If County and Hoptown consolidated not many teams would beat them in whatever class they would be in. There is more talent in Christian County than you can shake a stick at, always has been.

Caldwell and Mayfield didn't always play every year, it's been and on and off series over the years, what I posted is just my opinion. I don't expect everyone to agree, just saying.

I didn't see the game but Mayfield's fans are saying the same thing Caldwell County fans say about their games against Mayfield sometimes," we didn't play our a game." They never buy that and now they are saying the same thing, I played and I think it does, Danville is 11 and 1 against Mayfield and it does have something to do with the game in some way. That doesn't mean Danville will win every game but it's playing out in the same sort of way. When a certain team keeps beating you it does something to the way you approach and play the game. Kentucky and Florida for example, although Mayfield is certainly capable of beating Danville, not sure if Kentucky will ever beat Florida again. Each time a team adds to their lopsided win total in a series it DOES work on you and players know of tradition and win streaks.

Looks like what we discussed might hold true, Danville's dominance over Mayfield continues, congrats to both teams for their excellent seasons.

There could be something to that, their record against Danville is is about like Caldwell County's against Mayfield, only about 40 something to 10. Most of Caldwell county's players weren't around or have any memory's of Mayfield's dominance over them either but it still continues, although Caldwell has beaten Mayfield more than any team the last 10 years. Caldwell never seems to play well in most of the games they lose they are blown out when it should be a closer game. We will see, players that love sports make it a point to know about who they are playing and series records, some are bothered by it and some are not I guess.

Caldwell County is just not that good, they never recovered from the Mayfield beatdown, They kicked off to the one guy you can't kick to and he took it all the way. The game was over when it was 14 to 0, I bet Larue County is thinking they didn't lay down like that for them, pretty sad effort from the Tigers tonight.

There isn't anything wrong with playing them but wouldn't you want to be on a roll going in to the playoffs or get beat 55 to 14. As for playing like crap against them, that's up for debate, now the injury thing is a little different, we have to play Trigg, we don't have to play Mayfield. Now I don't expect to beat Mayfield every year but I do expect us to be competitive when we are 8 and 1. I agree it draws big crowds but it might have a bearing on us in the playoffs, when Sivills got hurt we lost in the first round and looked terrible against Butler County, some would say we never recovered. The series is pretty lopsided and being on the losing end by such a margin isn't that much fun. In about 20 years we will see if you like it as much as you do now. I like your optimism though.

I don't think anyone wants to throw up the white flag after the Mayfield loss, but how does this kind of beat down help you going in to the playoffs. Caldwell lost a game like that against Mayfield a few years ago and lost their best receiver for the year in that game. Also getting beat like that is demoralizing right before the playoffs. You must be a young fan because this has been happening for a long time with the exception of a few years lately. It's the way that Caldwell plays when they play Mayfield that has people disgruntled, It's always the Tigers worst performance of the year when they lose, not even a game, so a little griping on the message boards is going to be normal.

Last nights game was like most of the ones in the past that Mayfield wins, it's hardly ever close and most likely a blow out when they win, it's been that way for 50 years. Caldwell isn't as bad as they look against Mayfield and Mayfield fans should not get that excited beating Caldwell like that, Like I said it happens like that most of the time. Caldwell County either needs to play them early or not at all if this kind of performance continues, they are beat before they play and getting demoralized before the playoffs start isn't the best thing for any team. The Tigers are always better than they look against Mayfield and wouldn't be 8 and 2 right now if they weren't, that being said when you play a team 50 times and they win 40 of them it messes with you. I have said time and time before you can't judge either team from this game, history has shown that, Mayfield will go far and Caldwell will win a couple of games this year and that's about it.If you watched the game last night even Mayfield fans have to wonder how things were so easy and how Caldwell was 8 and 1, the Mayfield mystique against the Tigers continues, maybe next week the Tigers can remember how to tackle and and play defense. Funny, people that don't know the history between the two think Caldwell is way overrated and Mayfield is unstoppable and both things look that way after this game so that's understandable.

Caldwell looks like a team that has never played football, turnovers, forgetting how to play defense, Mayfield mystique strikes again, pityful.

I think Corbin brings Casey Co. back to earth this weekend, Casey Co. is pretty good but hasn't faced anything like Corbin to date. Bell County is the only team with a winning record on their schedule. I just don't see it happening.

On Trigg's post game radio show one of the players said they wore Caldwell out, didn't quite understand that comment.

It should be a good game, Union County is a tough place to play, the Tigers are a tough team and have played the better competition. This is a must win for both teams if they want to play at home for at least two games in the playoffs.

It was a thrilling game all the way to the last play, Caldwell really missed their leading tackler, Paducah's running game hurt the Tigers.
