Always disappointing to see how few soccer scholarships are out there for boys. Can not compete with football and Title IX so a lot of big schools do not even offer a soccer team. Even the SEC does not sponsor Men's soccer. I think they should just do away with Men's college soccer at Division 1 and expand the PDL for these kids.

I only use this app when I am traveling. It uses a lot of data and I do not have unlimited data. If I used this every day I would use up my data plan fast. The information is based on the people who have the app and report stuff. If you are on less traveled roads, the information will not be that updated. If you are in the city or a major highway, the information is usually pretty good. It warns of accidents and alternative routes and slow traffic. I agree with the electronics and tracking issues (Person of Interest). You have to wonder if we will ever be able to get off the grid in the future.

I use this app and it works great. Doesn't freedom of speech allow this? I should be able to tell others when an officer is out on a public highway clocking people

I have not been, but would like to tour Europe. Wife and I rented a house for a week in Las Terrenas, DR. Safe area and pretty cheap, not many americans. I went on a guys trip to Cabo a couple of years ago and we rented a house. Great place for a guys trip. I remember standing on the sidewalk and a Jaguar drop by, its license plate was from Ohio and said "Cabo Jag". I have done the all inclusive resorts, but you really do not get a feel for the area since we never left the resort.

I have never been a big fan of 8th graders playing JV. If it is high school sports, why are the coaches giving spots to kids that are not even in the high school? Also, my daughter's high school has a policy that does not put juniors on JV for soccer. Last year there were only 3 spots available on Varisty and there were around 12 girls that were juniors that had previously played JV. I think only 4 juniors tried out for varsity and one junior was cut from varsity. The other girls just quit playing. The school lost a lot of good players.

Holy Cow! We just received our order form from the Reds since we have a small season ticket package. One bleacher seat ticket is $377. One Red Seat ticket is $742. With this price you get the following: 1. One commemorative program. 2. 2 tickets to fanfest at convention center. 3. One ticket to all star Sunday which includes futures game, legends and celebrity softball game. 4. One ticket to all star workout day featuring home run derby. 5. One ticket to the game. So, who thinks this is a reasonable price? Or, what price do you think is reasonable? When we ordered prospective World Series tickets a couple of years ago, they were a fraction of this price.

I agree with a clear policy of no school due to weather, then all other activities canceled. Like previously stated, insurance issues, teen driving issues etc. Fall sports miss practices due to thunderstorms and heat index problems every year. Keep the kids safe, any grey area will lead to abuse.

I work on Dream street and the problems are limited to the hotels. Never had any problems in all the years I have worked here. The Knights Inn has lost its affiliation and is now the Florence Inn. The owner has run the place down and focuses on long term renters. The school buses pick kids up there for school. If they would stop the housing assistance to this place I am sure it would help clean it out. It is in such bad shape now it might be cheaper to tear it down than to remodel it.

The thing a lings are good. They have cherries in them with a cherry glaze. I think they had about every pastry available in cherry. Also bought strudel and turnovers. Worth the trip crowds smaller on Sunday

My son has a game in Indiana on Sunday I will try to make it up to Bateville. Always wanted to try them. I went to pink in the blanket last weekend. Ordered a dozen and he threw in two extras. They had a chocolate frosted with fruity pebbles on top that the kids fought over.

No mention of Willie Cauley Stein here. First team all state football in high school. I say let the kids play whatever they want to play. I told my kids they have to play something (anything) in their offseason because I wanted them off the couch! My daughter played soccer since she was 4 years old, last year she decided she wanted to try something else and I said go for it. She switched over to cross country and had a blast. Did her prior experience with soccer help her? I do not know, but she has always pushed herself and that came from somewhere.
