  1. I will be there. When I got the tickets, I had no idea how big this game would be. Cannot wait till Saturday! ROLL TIDE!
  2. It may not be the best strategy ever, but daggum, they were really, really good! The QB sneak on 4th and a long 2 for McCracken was about as bad of a decision they could make, and the fake punt still has me scratching my head.:idunno:
  3. I thought Manual defensive line dominated the whole game. Looked like Manual made some great adjustments at half with their secondary.
  4. 20-0 McCracken halftime. Mustang speed giving manual fits!
  5. Russellville is no joke. They aren't talked about much, but they are not a team to take lightly. We struggled with them in the regular season game.
  6. 5- Henry Clay 3- Dupont Manual 3- Campbellsville 1- Mason Co. 1- Shelby Valley 1- Prestonsburg 1- Franklin Co. 1- Iroquois 1- Sheldon Clark 1- Fern Creek TB- 31
  7. I guess all the Raceland guys are busy on the "1st round playoff" thread
  8. Even as a Mayfield fan I would take the field. Odds are too lopsided. I would have said that the last several years also. That's just smart betting IMO. With that said..............I do think if we play like we did against Caldwell, it would be a shocker if we don't hoist another trophy this year. I have seen lots of inconsistent play from the boys this year that could spell disaster against a strong team. One bad game now, and you're done!
  9. I'm pulling heavily for Russelville, even though as TP stated, their speed is kinda scary. I personally am gonna pull for Raceland out East. I really enjoy their fans on this site! I can only imagine the excitement there would be if they can get to Bowling Green. As far as driving to Ft. Mitchell, I don't think my wife would let me make that trip with the Bowling Green trip possible for the following weekend (she doesn't go to games with me). :(
  10. I'm trying! I hope we get some input from the Tiger folks. I think eliminating the big running plays was the difference in this game. Boyd never really got going, had some good runs early, but nothing like last year's game. Also, #32 is a very good d-end!
  11. It's not worth the fight snake! I didn't hear post game show, how many yards did Trajon end up with?
  12. Great game by the Cards! Defense was outstanding to say the least. Arnett played by far his best game of the season IMO. If we can carry this momentum into the playoffs, we will have a great shot again. I'm very proud of the boys in the red helmets! Good luck to Caldwell in the playoffs, hopefully the coaches and team learned some things that can be fixed, and you guys can bring home the trophy! Go Big Red!
  13. If it is Brock Shoulders, I'm pretty sure he played at Webster Co. in the early 90's. Somebody can correct me on that if I'm wrong. I think Jay Burgett is the D coordinator, he's from Mayfield.
  14. Thank you for explaining, even though I'm still scratching my head.
  15. I know I don't have a dog in this race, but I find it very interesting that an out of state game affects the district standings in Ohio. Something was said about points??? Could somebody fill me in on this system?
  16. Going into the season I really thought we would get hammered by McCracken and Caldwell. After what I saw our guys do at McCracken, I don't think anybody will hammer us. Yeah, Caldwell may be the better team, but if it's still a game in the 4th I like our chances. Sindelar is a very good QB, but last year the 2 good defenses he played against he threw several interceptions and if I'm not mistaken he had a couple against Murray already this year. I think the Caldwell running game killed us last year, and our d has been solid against that so far this year. If we can force a few turnovers, and not give up big runs it will be an excellent game. If we allow the big running plays like last year....................well. I'm going with my Cards.............44-42. (Several field goals for Herndon)
  17. This is the first time this year that we looked like a young inexperienced team and we struggled to find answers. TP, I agree with everything but this. I really think we played similar to this against both Murray and Graves Co.. Which does make sense considering they are good defensive teams. I do feel that if our offense continues to struggle, the defense will keep us in games late in the playoffs.
  18. Hopefully the passing game will improve soon. It seems to me we're kinda one dimensional right now. Hard fought win tonight, congrats Cards!
  19. Lots of penalties and punts by the cards so far
