  1. Arnett to Kennemore TD pass. Herndon's kick is good 14-7 Mayfield
  2. Corbin fumbles, Mayfield recovers. 1st and 10 from Corbin 32 I think
  3. Pass to Kennemore marked down at the 1" line. 4th and goal, Hernandez in for the TD. 7-7 6:19 left in the half
  4. Might have, I'm listening to the radio broadcast. Just what they said.
  5. Corbin goes for the onside kick. Mayfield recovers
  6. Still no score, end of first. Corbin punts to start the 2nd
  7. Sounds like the rain is definitely a factor for both teams
  8. I don't know much about this years team, but I do know Coach Myers from playing for him at Mayfield. He is a great guy, and even better coach. I'm sure he is excited for the opportunity to step in and fill Mayfield's shoes, and I wish him nothing but the best. But...........after watching his teams play for the last few years, his biggest problem with competing at a higher level has been their line play. If they can get better play in the trenches, watch out! Until that happens I don't think they will be able to give the Beechies much challenge.
  9. I saw that this is the WPSD game of the week. It will be aired on their retro channel.
  10. I can't wait to see what the freshman Matthews can do. I think he's gonna be electric once he gets used to the varsity level. Maybe Trajon being out for a while will help us down the road.
  11. I think Tyler might have a breakout game. I'm gonna say 35-14, Mayfield.
  12. Not a pretty game so far, hopefully 2nd half looks better.
  13. Reading this thread makes me think Desales could possibly be the best team in the state overall. Heck, if our softies get lucky enough to make it to the semis, I hope there is plenty of ambulances on standby! All in good fun Colt people......
  14. I hope this game is played for many years. It's shaping into a great rivalry already. It's a game that does nothing but help both teams down the road.
  15. I like the confidence, but I think you would be a little surprised.
  16. I don't know his final stats, but I heard at halftime 9 carries for 14 yds for Hughes
  17. Better in the trenches............yes. Better overall? Not to me. Our passing game was basically a non factor, and to me it was a combination of pressure on qb and him having an off night. McCracken had a great game plan to shut down the underneath routes, which they did, and we could not complete anything down field successfully. This led to the running game struggling to get much going. I thought McCracken had some excellent LB play tonight, also.
