  1. Only thing I see is Russellville might could be a little lower. Maybe 7-8. Other than that looks pretty good to me.
  2. Has caverna improved much in the last couple years? I was kinda surprised they could put up 28 pts honestly.
  3. No question, kick it. WAY too much time left.
  4. I guess that's part of being a small school. Not as much depth as larger schools. Not trying to make excuses, the good thing is no significant injuries!
  5. WR/DB, just messin with you! I don't know if it would have made a huge difference, but making the point that we were down 2 starting WR's and DB's bout mid way thru the 4th qtr., plus the linemen we had lost earlier. Just sayin!
  6. I don't think the game would have went to OT had Lane Kennemore not got hurt.
  7. I watched most of the game again today on tv. Old jack spent his fair share of time on the field too
  8. The one I saw joe complain the most about was a play that was supposed to be a screen, so all the linemen released downfield. Turned out to be a downfield pass that somehow the refs didn't pay attention to. If you watch the replay you will see it very clear. OL was 10-15 yds downfield blocking on a 10 yd out route. I was going ballistic too! Good thing they had a fence!
  9. Kinda disappointed in the eagles....................oh well. :sarcastic:
  10. Yeah, #6 is tough and runs hard, but is not a threat to beat anybody. Hughes is quick as lightning!
  11. Well, for those who weren't at that game, I'm sorry! That was a great one. I'm really proud of these kids for not ever giving up. I can now say the 2 best games I've ever seen in person have had a Bright in the backfield. All you mayfield fans probably remember the 95 hoptown game. I will also say this, without jones on the field McCracken is not near as dangerous. He is a big time player that makes Hughes even more of a threat. Radio said the mustangs had 86 yds rushing, if you would have told me our d would hold them to that I would have called you crazy! Congrats to McCracken, great game. Congrats to mayfield, some young kids grew up a lot tonight! GO BIG RED!
  12. Maybe union should try a triangle and 2 defense. I heard the man and zone that Christian ran last week didn't keep the shooters from Caldwell in check. :idunno:
  13. That was a reply to glorydays, haven't figured this out yet!
  14. I agree, we did have a couple of non-typical mayfield teams around 07 that had a problem with this though. I don't compare this group to that one at all. I just say that because nobody really knows how this group will deal with adversity. That's when we will find out who the leaders are. (Just hopefully not this week. On another note, there was a couple VERY confident mustang mothers that sat in front of us last Friday. They had no problem telling us we were gonna lose the next game! Gotta love it!:lol2:
  15. My opinion, Hazard was better that day..................not that season. That's all that matters in sports though, right?
  16. Hey everybody, I've been reading threads on here for years. Finally decided to get in on the action..........as for the game this week, I really think our youth and weak areas will be exposed early and often. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we have a few areas that are going to take 7 or 8 games to get the kinks worked out. In my opinion, a 3 td game is likely. If we hang our heads and give up, it will be a snowball effect and get ugly. That being said........this is a great game for us to be playing early. It gives the coaches and players a great idea of what needs to be improved, or maybe even replaced, to continue to develop this team. Also, the young rb's are gonna be really, really good!
