Lexington / Central Kentucky Top 10 Power Rankings 7-27-15
At the end of the year Boyle, Scott Co. or Lex Cath will top the list. Is Catholic set on Brumbaugh? He's pretty raw, but he's improved a lot since last year. Henry Clay disappoints every year, Lafayette who knows? But Paris? PARIS? Playing dynamos such as Bishop Brossart, Pineville, Nicholas Co., Berea, Bracken Co. etc... gets the nod over Station, Garrard, Bourbon and any other Lexington school WOW!

KHSAA Bylaw 9-2
Might sound dumb but couldn't this be a Title IX violation? KHSAA is giving girls more of an opportunity in a same sport.

KHSAA Bylaw 9-2
Has anyone every broke this rule? Punished? Just imagine the backlash...wouldn't be good publicity at all for the KHSAA. Think about how the whole poorly worded shaking hands thing. Football I can see since it's somewhat in season, Basketball on the other hand doesn't start for another couple months.

KHSAA Bylaw 9-2
My child should be able to attend any camp he wants. This isn't the NCAA, they can't control a player. KHSAA acts like they are giving a kid enough recognition and opportunity, when kids are really getting it on the AAU/Camp circuit. Lawsuit would be sort of like when people sue for a potential Loss of Earnings, except your earnings are a college scholarship.

KHSAA Bylaw 9-2
What stops them? That's an insane rule, i'm sure if someone threatens them with a lawsuit it would be "brought up". High School Basketball is the Cash Cow for KHSAA, people may not realize it but imagine if D'Angelo Russell played his HS basketball in KY, theoretically he alone would of brought in Money for District, Region and Sweet 16. Think of a player like Braxton Beverly, gates will suffer this year with him transferring out of state.

The All 2000's Team
Hatfield has 2 Rings. I don't really consider a Fullback someone who gains 3,000 yds and 36 TDS in a season, that's a RB. I think that's what Fugate projected as in College.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" You act like Lexington Catholic doesn't ever have D1 talent. They're the one team in Lexington that constantly reloads, and you can never count out. They're a "Team" they have solid players that know the system. Don't judge a kid by the number of points he scores as a freshman, he got a MAC offer, it's not a Power 5. Elite Camps, AAU Circuits, thats where you earn your offers. Coaches during basketball season only visit the guys they have on the radar, since they're only given so many visits. That's why coaches go to AAU or host Elite Camps as they give you more bang for your buck.

Is this not a dead period violation?
Wasn't calling out, I mean it was on the news and I know Haywood wouldn't put Belfry in a position to jeopardized. Rule 6 makes sense in this ... But I guess its how you read it. If the high school coach is from PCC he can host a camp at Belfry and Belfry players work at it as long as Belfry Coaches aren't there? Or could a Belfry coach host a camp and have Belfry players work it as long as the rest of the Belfry staff isn't there?

Is this not a dead period violation?
I guess it depends if Jones is a "coach" if he's pink slipped there might be a gray area? In the camp brochure it says grades K-10, and also looks like Belfry players are helping with drills. Member schools may allow camps to be conducted fornonhigh school students on school athletic property by high school coaches during this period provided there is no contact with any athlete who had participated at any level within theschool athletic program, regardless of the grade or age of thestudent. The members of the high school team may only work at such a camp if the high school coaching staff is not present;

Is this a gray area? Isn't Jones a current coach at Belfry? Or do I not understand dead period? Former Pirate holds football camp to give back

Woodford County Has the Best Offensive Line in the State?
Don't think there is much to bring in the area, usually you hear rumblings of who over dead period.

Skill players are very marginal at Woodford

Baker again fastest 40 at a combine
Baker has nice size, not like his dad coming out of HS, but he passes the look test IMO . Maybe it's durability? Can he take a hit? His running style? Does a lot of spin moves and those don't really work at the next level.

Baker again fastest 40 at a combine
Kind of a confusing recruiting situation, obviously has speed, but UK is only big Power offer? Kind of find it hard to believe that any other Power schools will offer if they haven't yet(unless there is some KY connection). It's almost like a Joker Phillips era recruit

Did their stud athlete "fly" across town? Notice he committed to WKU

High School Football Program Choice and Next Level Recruiting
The other night on Lex sports radio, Drake Jackson, Landon Young, Kash Daniel were all hosts. And they all agreed the camp/ combines are where you wanna go to be noticed. A kid from small Paintsville went from an unranked, mid major player to top 100 in the nation(247) after a Rivals Camp performance.
