Is it time New Cath and Beechwood stopped scheduling the 6A schools?
More important is the 4 year average number of boys that KHSAA uses for classifcation. Info found here: http://khsaa.org/football/realignment/20152018/FourYearEnrollmentsbyDraftClass.pdf Beechwood 188 NCC 214 Campbell Co 759 Cooper 576 Dixie Heights 754 Simon Kenton 858 CovCath 522 Ryle 858 Have these numbers been growing for Simon Kenton and Dixie?

Franklin County vs. Beechwood Predictions
What is Franklin County like compared to last year? Beechwood looks better.

Beechwood 38 Newport Central Catholic 6 (JV)
20 freshman. That's great! It seemed just a few years ago there were only 12-15. KHSAA lists 44 players on the varsity roster. Is there a need to use the freshman in JV games?

Beechwood 58 Holy Cross 0
So Guru is what you call "Old School"?

Beechwood 58 Holy Cross 0
Holy Cross was not a very good football team last night. I'm surprised they were able to score on Simon Kenton. Fieger only threw 6 passes. Would have liked to have seen Beechwood work on the short passing game too. I understand just driving the ball down their throats on the first drive but their passing game needs some live action practice. In comparison Simon Kenton threw the ball 13 times vs Holy Cross. I do have a problem with a large number of Beechwoods defensive starters still in the game up 44-0 with less than 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter of a running clock game. Empty the benches and get those guys as many snaps as you can!

Ludlow had emptied their bench. Maybe substituted to liberally all at once. Campbell has some good players. The QB could really throw the ball. Running back #44 (i think) could run if he had the chance to get going.

Beechwood / Holy Cross (Covington) Predictions
Thank Goodness It's Friday! I'd be very surprised if the tigers don't win this one big. Not saying they get a running clock because they really haven't been doing that as much as they used to. My thoughts -I don't see the HC line blocking like dixie or Mt Healthy so I'm not sure they will get similar running game -Holy Cross QB Scott running could be one of their better options -I see several interceptions by Beechwood -HC tackling did not look very good in either game. So I can see some break away runs by Studer and Stringer -I think the ball will be well distributed by BW Fieger with lots of yards after catch. -I expect at least one return for TD (either punt or KO) Assuming grass field in good condition 48-14 Beechwood

The Old School Beechwood Natives are restless...
Not 100% sure but this line might be the biggest since the 2007/2008 seasons. Looking back at the 2007/2008 seasons, the toughest games on the schedule were Cov Cath and New Cath toward the middle and end of the season. Both years they opened with Dixie but Dixie wasn't "Brossarts" Dixie. Those teams had a chance to get on their feet before the big games. This years Tigers started with 2 tough games. I'm waiting to judge this team. I still think there is huge potential. Question: Would a close loss to Dixie change the outlook?
