I hate this new website that started tonight. NFHS Network bought out Digital Scout/HSGameCenter. The roster and schedule are on the old website, but box scores and play-by-play are on the new one. Free live stats are gone. NFHS is subscription now. :irked: All about the money. Stats available after the game is complete. The new site has Beechwood stats for their team (confusing). Here are my reports if you are interested in seeing what I had for both teams.

That should shut down the Beechwood Haters thread. Foot on the gas the entire game. Everyone can take a seat now...Beechwood is fine. Dixie and Mt. Healthy were just bigger and faster this year. I expect the same results from those games vs. Cov Cath but other than that....in 1A football....Beechwood will be good.

If you think that game was any sort of yardstick you don't know anything. That was one ugly football game.

With the excellent job done by nkypete and the links above, there is not much need to add in the way of a game report. The Tigers turned the tables from last week and just ran it over and through Holy Cross. They threw 2 passes in the first half. Holy Cross only earned 1 first down in the first half. It was a totally dominating performance by Beechwood.

Beechwood needs to prove they can beat or at least compete with a quality team. Beating Ludlow, Dayton, HC by 50 isn't going to impress too many folks outside the Tiger faithful..

I was told after the game that Holy Cross scored a TD and had 60 yards gained versus Simon Kenton last week in the first quarter. Is that true? Perhaps nkypete could give us his view on the Tigers and even his thoughts on Beechwood in comparison to Simon Kenton.

They get the chance next week versus Franklin County in Beechwood's first home game of the season.

Thanks for the good belly laugh. I am with OSD, this game means nothing for Beechwood.

Franklin County and CovCath are the games that matter. Maybe NCC.

Many years ago and I do mean many, a game like this would have meant a lot. Now it's been there, done that for a lot of the old Beechwood Fans. The ones who do not understand or respect the tradition of the program are the ones who don't see what has been going on at Beechwood the last couple years.

Beechwood manhandled both sides of the ball at the line. The running backs had huge holes. HC played much better against Simon Kenton. HC lost their technique tonight and forgot their coaching. Beechwood will be fine. Simon Kenton is in a different league - bigger, faster and more players. I should not compare them against Beechwood. The only thing similar was that both games were blowouts and both were running clocks. HC scored first against SK. But that just seemed to make them mad. SK seemed to have a killer instinct about them. Beechwood was more a methodical machine - they did the same things play after play because they was nothing stopping them.

Thank you. I do find it interesting that Holy Cross scored first versus Simon Kenton. I am sure Simon Kenton is a bigger team than Beechwood. I am not sure about the speed. I have no illusions that Beechwood could beat Simon Kenton. I was just curious to read your views.

Against SK, HC took the opening drive and mixed up some Scott runs and short passes to drive deep into SK territory. After turning the ball over on downs to SK, HC intercepted SK on the first play. HC then scored their only touchdown on a short field. SK scored on a lot of big plays. Tonight, Beechwood took their time and had a lot of big drives. Different kind of game. Throw in running clocks and it makes it even more difficult to compare.
