My predictions: 1. No public school makes the finals. Owensboro Catholic wins the top half of the bracket. 2. Henry clay hangs close to NDA for beginning of the match, but NDA takes control and wins. I think this one could go four sets. 3. Assumption takes home the title. It would be their 19th in 24 years.

They were wearing their Lexington United and Bluegrass Battle tournament volleyball clothes. That's pretty blatant. If you're going to record your opponent, at least try and be sneaky.

NDA has no one on the bench that can play middle. The only other middle on the roster is Ashley Rees, who I believe played on the 16-2 team at Tri-State this past season. Hardig and Salkowski are the better options.

It's now or never for the pandas.

Very sad but this is all true. I just hope the administration does something. Just think of the potential that team has. With good coaching, they could go places next year.

Only other athlete I could think of would be Shaun Alexander, possibly. But Hentz still needs has to perform at the next level, which I think she is very capable of.

She isn't a high school kid but nice try. Plus, I'm not ripping on her, just confirming the fact that she isn't the setter LSU wanted her to be.

I don't think she is a "high end D1 athlete". Yes she is very athletic and strong, but her setting is inconsistent. The many times I've seen her play, she was less than impressive.

Chase Barber and Tatum Davis. I'm not sure about the extent of their injuries.

I don't see Elly Ogle starting over Jenna Fessler.

Cooper defeated Ryle in 5 sets. Ryle lead 2-1 in sets and had a 24-19 lead in set 4 and ended up losing 24-26. 5 match points saved by Cooper. It just seemed like Ryle ran out of gas. Their depth showed at the end, especially with 2 injured senior starters out.

and probably their only real weakness. If their offense is clicking, watch out.

Wow. That's shocking to say the least. I only wish I could watch the four of them play in the state semis verse each other. Those two games would draw HUGE crowds. If only..... So now the "Big 4" have finished their regular season. I tallied up the sets won and lost along with matches won and lost verse each other. This is where the teams stand. I heard it was because of the student section so they carded the Ryle team. Something about yelling at the NCC servers and calling them by name. Idk why Ryle would get punished for their student section, which they don't control, but from what I heard that was the reasoning to the card.

Sears plays simply because of size. I think Stephenson is the better option. She is highly competitive and has more skills than just being tall. Great hitter, setter, small but good blocker. I think Stephenson would probably be starting over Knaley if Knaley wasn't a senior.

I'll take it under consideration

Assumption has almost twice the amount of girls that most large public schools do.

I didn't call her out because I didn't bring her into the conversation. But if you're going to call her an elite level setter, yeah I'm going to disagree. She does a good job for Boone County, sure. But how does Boone County fit into the bigger picture? They don't. She is one of the better setters in northern Kentucky. That's about as far as I would go. You put her, Anna Zweibel and Hayley Bush in a gym together and then you can tell me which ones are "elite level setters".

Welcome to Kentucky, where volleyball is treated as nothing and the KHSAA doesn't reformat the state tournament because they just don't care.

Practically all of bluegrass preps is unsubstantiated rumors. Nothing new here. Ha

I wouldn't say Alli Borders is one of the strongest setters in the region. She is forced to be their #2 hitter on the team as a setter, so she constantly dumps and pushes the ball over. I wouldn't say that makes her a strong setter, but she definitely loves to compete.

Ball handling error. Aka double contact or lift on the setter.

Teams that host their own tournaments always seem to give themselves a "cake" walk to the finals. But props to them for beating Conner.
