NDA should win 3-0. Will probably win 3-1. They are clearly the best in the state. I have seen Assumption and Mercy and I would say there are some public schools that could give them a run for their money (I.e. Henry Clay, Dunbar, possibly Ryle). 1. NDA 2. SHA 3. Assumption 4. Mercy 5. Henry Clay

Hentz is definitely hitting at a higher clip than last season. Errors have come down for sure.

It almost seems like they hit a plateau and the girls are frustrated that the coaches can't take them to that next level. I feel very sorry for the players involved because I believe that team has a lot of talent and it is sad to watch good players look defeated.

Most of the elite clubs are for non-profit anyway. The girls pay what it costs the club to have its doors open and that's about it. Coaches don't make huge salaries and neither does the rest of the club. "Money grabbing" doesn't exist.

Maybe Dayton should do the same as well.

Ryle in a 3-0 sweep. Scott just doesn't have enough offensive diversity to beat the raiders. Tapp and Franxman will BOTH have to be phenomenal to keep it close but I don't see that happening. Last year's records are fairly irrelevant as both teams are very different. Ryle spent almost the entire season without Ashley Bush and Scott played some cupcake teams all season. I'd day the big question is "can Scott get more hitters going?", because otherwise it may be a lopsided affair.

So clearly the third ranked team in the region wasn't a threat to NDA. Anyone there that could clarify why the game wasn't close? I thought Cooper would do better than Scott, especially on their home court, but that was apparently not so. So what went wrong for Cooper or was NDA just that good with Morgan back?

They're still going to struggle on defense but should be a threat to the other big teams in the 9th. Maureen and Shawn should whip them into shape. They always do a great job of developing her players.

Let me make it very clear that I am not a fan of cov cath, nor am I a fan of any school. I am, however, a volleyball mind trying to break through to people that are stuck in their own little world, thinking their child is god's greatest gift to the earth. Back to the issue, I'm not saying a school or program shouldn't have an article written about them, but when you write an article pre-season setting a hype for a team that is "built to last", when clearly they are not, as evident the past 3 years, that's just a ton of bull and I think you know that. No sports writer would approach a coach of a sub .500 school out of the blue and ask to write about their program and talk about their "successes". It just doesn't happen without someone reaching out. I probably wouldn't have even said anything had it not been about Highlands. I just hate that everyone in Fort Thomas live in their little bubble and think they are superior to everyone. Rant over.

When they play teams with a more diverse offense than just setting 2 players, yes they will need her. When they play teams that are more aggressive and effective servers, yes they will need her.

Yes, but why have an article written about you? Why don't the newspapers write the articles about NKY teams that will make a difference in the big picture? Guaranteed the HHS coach contacted the newspaper for the article. Not sure but that's my guess.

It's true. Most people don't know about it because it's not listed, but you are required to play teams in your "conference". Not to be confused with district and regions. I don't really understand why they do it, but they do.

Scott doesn't set anyone but Franxman and Tapp. Their middles are slow and vertically challenged. You're going to need effective middles to challenge big teams and they just don't have it. Cooper's setters are Carlie Wise and Madi Hollis, who both play on NKJV 2 teams. Wise was the freshman setter last year and Hollis barely got JV playing time last year but I don't think she was setting. I don't think Belle Morgan is a huge loss. Beechwood seems to have filled that spot fairly well. I don't know why you brought Pendleton Co., Brossart, Highlands and Boone into the discussion... they are certainly not "built to win" against anyone previously mentioned.
