  1. Majority may be hyperbole. Trinity has been so successful that the fans are delusional at times but we will see come November how gracious in defeat the Rocks are. Great game. This was a one score game for most of the second quarter. T kept knocking at the door but the Bulldogs D was too strong. How about the two Louisville commits fumbling at the most ridiculous time for each team?!? Wow!
  2. That's why I didn't do too much talking pre game. I want to add that the majority of the Trinity fans are sore losers. It's not normal for them to lose but when they do...
  3. Sir, the cupboard is far from empty. Male has talent in every class. The O-Line seems to be the biggest drop off after this year's seniors. Again, the mounting pressure is on the rest of Louisville in particular and Kentucky 6A in general to catch up. Sure it's great to have the top teams play each other but it would be even better when there are more than 2/3 teams competing for the title. And a point that I think gets lost about Male and the thought of the Bulldogs missing opportunities... Two years ago a talented but young team beat X and T twice only to lose to eventual champion Scott Co in a nail biter. Last year a talented team expected to win lost to Trinity, the eventual champion in OT. Football is a game where this happens more often than not. Cut the kids some slack. They have been playing at a high level for years now. It's easy for us adults to sit back and criticize coaches who basically volunteer their time and players that are somebody else's kids. Enjoy the game tonight. Hopefully the rain stays away!
  4. I think the fans are more worried about this game than the coaches. These players know each other well. They want to compete, no doubt but this game means nothing in terms of the playoffs and seeding.
  5. Final. I didn't get to see the game. Anybody know the details?
  6. Anybody going to the freshman game this evening? Should be a great contest! I have to work so won't get there until halftime, hopefully before.
  7. Any coach that refuses to tally stats is an idiot. Hudl does it for you just about. Quit complaining about opponents scouting and provide your athletes some exposure. There's nothing like checking stats of your team's top player only to see some kid 40 counties over putting up better numbers. Khsaa does a great job of breaking the data down by class IMO. Makes the information easier to process.
  8. Wyman is often made out to being the bad guy and maybe deservedly so. The turf issue is a district policy from what I understand. I've heard it's an issue of fairness for all and I've heard it's an issue of securing financing for the replacement field down the road. Either way it's a shame. The mud might play in to T's hands as they tend to pound the ball more than H does. We will see. Footing will be a concern if the field is just a little wet. Hoping all stay injury free
  9. Trinity - 28 Male - 34 Wouldn't be surprised at all if this goes into overtime like the last two.
  10. For the last time, Male can not get anybody from the county. It is a "Traditional" high school that only gets kids from the three area Traditional middle schools. On top of this, Male shares their enrollment pool with Butler Traditional. There's been talk for years of opening up the enrollment and adding students from a waiting list to get in the traditional "magnet" program but I won't hold my breath.
  11. One thing that has been consistent with Male the past few years has been strong offensive line play. The JV Dogs have work to do. Playmakers all around and Tight End McCauley might be something special. The defense played ok and scored a pick six. Male really struggled tackling Harper. The offense never found a rhythm after driving all the way down the field on their first drive only to miss the field goal. I don't think this is any indication of what will happen with the Varsity game. I'm also interested to see the Freshman contest Thursday.
  12. We shall see how PRP hangs and I really believe Manual to be overrated. Sucks the Super District was broken up. It was a great test for the top four big schools. Trinity has it made in their new district. Ballard is down. JTown and Seneca look over their heads. Eastern, while improved are no match for the other Louisville 6A teams. To be fair, Butler looks to be down as well but the other teams in that district all appear to be contenders.
  13. Spurrier still has that fire in his eyes when he talks to his quarterback. Did y'all see the way he interacted with the backup after that failed 4th down in their red zone? Lol The old ball coach would be smart to run the ball and let his defense control the game. At least until the offense loosens up. I just don't think either qb looked solid for USC and the Tar Heel qb was a huge letdown save a few glimpses.
  14. I understand what you are saying but there are no rules that state he has to do any of what you said. Clearly GRC got under the skin of many T supporters on this forum. He used the most elementary of tactics to do so. Whether he believes a word he adds to the discussion or not, GRC has illustrated a good point. Players play. Coaches coach. Fans spectate with commentary reserved for pundits. Good luck to all teams tonight
  15. Agreed. This is a public forum and free to participate in the discussions. I absolutely love how many believe he's stirring the pot but can't let it go. I wonder why so many T fans get the side eye from other fan bases, especially around Tha Ville (that's hilarious). If you beat T, albeit not frequently done, people around town are excited. MOST Trinity fans get mad when folks celebrate after defeating the Evil Empire. Not saying Lafayette will win but coaches and players work too hard at the majority of the programs around the state to not feel good about their chances to win against any team.
  16. We want a woman that watches with us so what is wrong with her coaching? Every one I've met thinks they know it all
  17. Hard to say after just one game. I've seen these kids grow up through the little leagues and middle schools. One thing I know last year's freshmen went undefeated with 25 kids and their backup quarterbacks. Gotta respect that.
  18. Male @ Trinity Frosh will be on Thursday 9/10 at 5:30. JV game moved up to Saturday due to Labor Day. Male has a solid group of talent in this class. Many may be counted on to contribute early in their careers next season. After a terrible freshman team two years ago, Wolfe and company have really fielded two great classes back to back.
  19. What happened to Oldham County? Is the additional high school the blame? Or are all the true athletes riding up 42 in to St. Matthews?
  20. I find it extremely hilarious that someone offers an opinion / prediction on a message board and gets lambasted for it. Let's be honest, Trinity should win this game and it shouldn't be close but you play to win the game. LL - 24 UT - 41
  21. Desales wins. Doubt this one is even closer than 3 scores
  22. Proud of the Bulldog pups. They came to play on defense today. The offense lacked rhythm but it won't take them long with the weapons Male has at the freshman level.
  23. If Butler can't get this win it will be tough sledding come district play.
  24. Ballard is going to try and make a statement this week hosting Male. I expect the Bruins to make it a good game. A good number of the Bulldogs backups got in the Varsity game vs Floyd Central. I'd think Ballard played subs during their beat down of Oldham County. Looking forward to seeing the JV contest this evening.
