  1. South Oldham will be trying to grind out long, physical drives that eat a lot of clock and shorten the game. Not sure if their defense can contain a very good passing attack too often. With both teams having a week off to prepare and some good football weather predicted, I only wish I could be there. Will be watching from home what I hope will be a great game!! Good luck Dragons!!
  2. Is that post sarcasm? What makes the Coach “not the guy” in your opinion?
  3. Yep. Overwhelming running game starts up front.
  4. That is true. Closest they came was in the 2016 season. Lost to Pulaski 62-55 in the semi-finals (more like a basketball score!). South Oldham , in my opinion, has not had a team with both a strong offense and defense. That 2016 could score on anyone but also couldn’t stop anyone.
  5. Ouch. That’s not good for the Dragons.
  6. This will be a good test to see how far the OC program has come along. Going to be a tough game!
  7. I didn’t get to see the game but it appears that Scott County dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Would that be fair to say?
  8. The key to the Dragons success on offense is two fold. The development of Arnold at QB and Julian Miles playing this season. Miles accounts for 1000 yards rushing and receiving along with 12 touchdowns. He is a heck of an athlete. Stopping Arnold and Miles is the key to slowing down South Oldham. This is going to be a fun game to watch!!
  9. Very proud of the Dragons. Great start to a tough stretch of district games. Only wish I could have been in town. Next week presents another big challenge. Looking forward to a bruising game!!
  10. 32-7 at the half. Time for some college football!
  11. South up 25-7 midway through the second quarter. South looking good!
  12. Now they have plenty of incentive in front of them—as do most other teams!! Somehow rankings in week 6 are fun to look at but let me know how you do in November. That is when it really matters!
  13. Agree. What I liked about South on Friday was their depth. Whenever someone went down, next man up played pretty well. Including at QB. Wasn’t sure about this team during those early scrimmages /games but they are growing on me!!
  14. Glad to see the Dragons climbing the rankings. Those tough early scrimmages and first game are paying off. That was a great win vs a tough Oldham County team. Just no quit in these guys. Now let’s see what happens in what looks like a pretty good district schedule! Keep it going Dragons!!
  15. South’s defense played a great game covering receivers and getting enough of a pass rush to keep North at bay. The Dragon's offense kept pounding the rock and controlling the clock all game. Way to make it 10 in a row!!
  16. South with the interception. South scores 20-7.
  17. South answers with a long TD drive but the PAT failed. North leads 7-6. North returns kickoff to midfield with 1 minute left in the half.
  18. North with a 98 yard drive for a TD. North 7-0 half way through the second quarter.
  19. South ate up 11 minutes of the first quarter but failed to score. North driving at the South 28.
  20. Game will come down to one thing—Can the Dragons defense slow down the high powered Mustang offense? Dragons secondary will be severely tested. Should be a fun night in Crestwood!!
  21. Didn’t see this coming but this is really good for Ky football!! Congrats to Boyle!!
