Scott County 28 South Oldham 7

Featured Replies

Final per the update thread.

@KingoftheCounty

Scott County ran all over South Oldham Friday night en route to a dominant 28-7 win.

Light work for you guys! I guess the county as a whole is on fire this season! @Redheat Now the question is where does yall RPI end up by the last game. Home field would be BIG for yall.

@Hungover_in_Andover it would be, I’m not sure how it’s gonna shake out. One more tuff one next week.

Week 2 will be a very difficult game for Scott County in the playoffs.

I didn’t get to see the game but it appears that Scott County dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Would that be fair to say?

I think that would be fair to say @FootballBobcat. They had 9 in the box all night and I don’t know all of the stats, but one rb had 174 yd rushing.

The Dragons have really struggled over the years to beat historically strong football programs on the road. They need to prove they can do that to take their program to the next level.

Ouch. That’s not good for the Dragons.

That is true. Closest they came was in the 2016 season. Lost to Pulaski 62-55 in the semi-finals (more like a basketball score!). South Oldham , in my opinion, has not had a team with both a strong offense and defense. That 2016 could score on anyone but also couldn’t stop anyone.

Scott County is a well disciplined, well coached team.  They are fun to watch for fans of boring, old school football.  They will get bounced from the playoffs early like they always do.  South Oldham created problems for themselves, and/or lack of scouting/preparation more than Scott County caused any real problems for the Dragons.

@KingoftheCounty it’ was a lot of fun watching y’all stack the box all night and still not be able to stop the run. Top tier run defense I believe is what you called it. ????
