Yes and No I think. Boyle' other starters need to be productive when teams focus on shutting Slone down, which several teams have been able to do. Mercer did a great job on Slone most of the night I thought. Bramel cannot miss from point blank. Lately he has missed some gimme's and has not taken advantage when he does get the ball down low. Boyle's offense has never been a post friendly offense anyway. As for his rebounding, Bramel has never been a great rebounder, but he does clear out a ton of space for Boyle's guards to clean up in the paint.

Purdue is stacked with QB's with Sindelar and Blough both returning next year from injuries. Jack Plummer is the QB from Arizona Brohm landed for the the 2018 class and an early enroll at Purdue. Great basketball game. I think a game like this makes Boyle better down the stretch. Mercer is solid.....Faulkner is great. Make Mercer beat you from behind the 3.....which they can do. But I thought Boyle handled Faulkner in the paint pretty darn well. Boyle got up 5 in the 3rd quarter when the intentional foul was called. Faulkner kinda went to another level after that and Boyle really never threatened again. Again.....a really great high school basketball game.

Mercer by 10. If Boyle can stay out of foul trouble they have a chance I think.

Fitzgerald scored 39 against Boyle and pretty sure was held scoreless in the 1st quarter. Once he got going, the game was over.

Fitzgerald is the best player in the state. I hope Boyle is ready for district play....45th should be very balanced this year.

I do not know the transfer rules so it would be unfair for me to try to answer that part of the question. I do think think if you can benefit the kid without the benefit of a program for "recruiting" than I am all for it. If Wandale has more and better opportunities by playing somewhere other than Western Hills why wouldn't we support that? I do think KHSAA tries to support kids best they can. Why else would you let the top 4 teams per district compete in post season play? It is a participation medal. And the fact the KHSAA has let it go on this long only reiterates giving kids as many experiences possible for high school kids.

so long as transfers happen within the khsaa rules, I have no problem when or where kids transfer to.

Boyle is gonna be good cause they are gonna be versatile. They can play small, they can play big. They will matchup well with most opponents as the year progresses.

Why is Waggenner's Jairus Brents not even in this conversation? Arguably the most recruited player in Kentucky with over 30 D1 offers. I know he was hurt and missed some games but still the hottest college pick in the state.

Sindelar throws an absolute laser. So hard in fact it is tough to catch. He is starting to get some touch on the ball now and should only get better in the off-season.

Boyle could be a really nice team by district tourney.
