  1. He had just recently retired from Cincinnati Country Day. CCD coach Brownstein retiring after 29 years
  2. Post #60 was from Lion Pride 89. That's who he cited in italics.
  3. My bad!! I forgot about that! Still a good rivalry to watch however.
  4. Here's a tidbit for you, I would go to every game I could, especially the rivalry ones. Since you are in the 9th region, you are in close proximity to a lot of schools. Check out the scoreboard on the main page of BGP and print off the schedules. I recommend Holmes and Cov Cath and Brossart and Campbell personally. Either way though I'd go check out as many as I could, see what the atmosphere is like at each one. It's worth the experience!
  5. I'm saying that if they were to get into a lawsuit that they would have to fund it and if they had limited money (which I don't know how much money they have), then they would have to cut money to fund the suit.
  6. Absolutely no problem. I probably should better proofread my posts before I post them. I truly hope that Cordia has taken all the calculations into effect. I honestly believe that what they do outside of just educating the students in the area is something that is very great. They provide so much, I honestly would hate for them to have something happen to those outreach programs.:thumb:
  7. No what I am saying is from what I read about them is that Knott County doesn't want to have much to do with Cordia. You apparently like to go off the wall and judge my comments as something heinous. If you think I am judging the school or its people because of where they are located then you are sadly in the wrong. I find their situation an interesting one because of how they operate, nothing more, nothing less. It is a unique arrangement that I've never seen before.
  8. Well we both know that the Knott County Board of Education is going to file a suit.
  9. So she's the one in charge then. Where does she get her funding from? Since the school is leased by Knott County do they pay for the lease? It will be interesting to see if there is a lawsuit and what money they would use to fund it. I couldn't see Lotts Creek Community School having a large amount of money to do it. If they have the money to do it then where would they get it from? Would they take it from the programs they serve?
  10. Very interesting. So what is Whitaker to the school then? Does she have any control on who they hire? Just seems like an interesting arrangement. How is their relationship with the Central Office?
  11. While I don't normally read posts that are a huge conglomeration of words (sorry old teaching habit from way back), how are the Lots Creek Community School and Cordia related? I mean what does Alice Whitaker do exactly? Is she in charge of the school? How does this entity relate with one another?
  12. Didn't realize that there was a big thing about being the county wide leading scorer.
  13. Was Steve Hart an alum? I seem to remember him being there for years. Had some success there, but didn't make it far in the post season.
  14. Was told that he was going to be replaced by Ron Mercer.
  15. Wait, did I miss them airing this on ESPN?!

  17. Anyone in the district who would want it?
  18. Someone told me that the requirements for this job were that you had to have varsity experience. Any truth to it?
  19. It is true. This position is still open.
  20. Just bolding this because I find it interesting. In truth, for a district Bracken's size, there is no real need for a full-time Athletic Director. In fact, maybe a part time person could do this, but with the way budgets are where are they going to find the money? Pray tell, what leadership are they lacking? Just curious.
  21. Then what job are they creating?
