In this game Hampton set the single game rushing record at Owensboro senior - at 326, passing Mark Higgs, he also set the career TD rushing record at Owensboro senior at 76 (by my count), breaking Higgs’ record of 75. He is also 1 behind Maurice Peanut White for Rushing TD’s in a season at 25,while White has 26 - White was the star on the last state championship team in 1986. White was a tremendous athlete and played DE too and was a star there. Congrats Evan Hampton! Beechwood the great program, great team and they are a 2 TD favorite. That said, playing at Steele, OCath will give their best effort. Both teams are relentless but the OCath defense has to step up big to have a chance. I’m rolling with my hometown Aces! Get the monkey off the back! Aces 21-20.

Atherton looks like the best team left with Owensboro and Wofo pretty close behind. Atherton will pulverize Pulaski and will be a tough matchup with O/Wofo in the finals. Congrats Ravens huge win!

Maybe the best Atherton team ever….maybe the worst BG team in 15 years…..and I still think BG is going to win. Atherton was really good 2 years ago. They were 11-1 and hosting Owensboro. I heard the same talk then as now - although I agree they are better now. Owensboro pasted them 43-7. I don’t expect a paste, but expect BG to handle business. If Atherton wins going away, I will buy they are a top contender.
