Catholic has a ton of 5 and 6A. No losses. I would be shocked if they are not #1 in RPI at season end. LCA 1 loss. Maybe the WL portion of the RPI may help them get #1 though. It will be interesting to see. #1 in the West and overall is going to be huge.

As of right now it looks like Catholic would sleep walk to the finals - then get the best out of Beechwood/LCA/Mayfield. If didn’t score with 11 seconds left it could have been LCA, then Mayfield, then Beechwood - how important all of those plays were. 4th and 13 the final drive - clutch. That’s the difference between 3 tough games and 1 tough game for a state championship.

Mayfield and Owensboro are similar but I don’t think Mayfield would have the defensive mistakes that Owensboro does. Mayfield has a pretty good defense. That would be a good game. But the 3rd round is looking like Mayfield vs LCA.
