Wright is the best player, he was last year, and will be next year. VanCleave is a great player take nothing away from the kid. But he doesn't have the size that Wright has. Wright's numbers at receiver would have been much different if he wouldn't have had to play QB all year. The kid already has his pick of schools that want his services.

Carr playing is not going to be a mystery. He's been back now for two weeks! This CAL team is a different animal than it was a few weeks ago. Wright can now move back to his natural position.

I see two running clocks in WV's future. This Friday they'll put one on Shawnee. Next Friday they will have one put on them by CAL.

Walton Verona I believe is looking at a second round match up with CAL. Believe me, all of DeSales, will be rooting for you guys!

I guess because WV is with the West this year. Sorry man, don’t like your chances.

Providence, does not want to play DeSales. We get more out of playing Ballard, and Butler than we would playing Jeff, or New Albany. Floyd Central could be a good team to schedule. They have nice facilities, and good support. I'd rather keep our Jefferson County 6A schedule, and pick up a game out in the state, like Somerset. it would help us on the years our side has to travel west.

Washington Co has improved. But Colts can name the score in this one.

One of the biggest things in my opinion is that so far this year we have had some mental mistakes with some penalties which is uncharacteristic for a DeSales team, it's been an obvious issue that we needed to work on. Friday night on the road, against our rival, we had one penalty that was declined on an illegal shift on a punt. One penalty on the road, i'll take that everyday, and twice on Sunday.

Both Defenses are that good. CAL's D is only giving up 10 pts a game. Our D I believe is the best in 2A

Defensive battle like i thought it would be. We had to play this a little different. We normally like to rush the pocket, create pressure, however with Wright back there, we stayed in our lanes and didn't over pursue, so he could never get the edge on us. We were going to make someone else beat us. The D played a great game, CAL has a solid defense as well. They are a physical team. Good luck to them the rest of the way, until we see them again in a few weeks. This time they might have Carr back, but we will also be at home.

It will be nice to see a new team not named Glasgow, if we are fortunate enough to make it that far. I'm sure they are sick of seeing us as well.

Yeah, I don't think we show them everything. But DeSales is also going to line up, and play with the philosophy stop us if you can. I think there is a little turmoil over on English Station Rd. They are being very quiet over there. I know Lefors is a good coach, so he'll right the ship.

I think most people on here would agree that Desales has the better resume. I'm sorry but beating Lexington schools, isn't that impressive. And I'm including our win over Catholic in that. I think LCA is by far the best team this year in Lexington. This week, even without Carr, CAL is better than Somerset. Somerset has zero offense. And while their defense is pretty good, it's not as good as DeSales, or CAL. All this is still in just good fun. I hope we get to meet Danville in Lexington, but we still have quite a few games ahead of us. The biggest being on Friday. It's all fun to pump up our teams, and compare this to that, but lets just keep taking care of business, and let the chips fall where they may.

I hope he does play. But... I doubt very seriously he does. Again I will be surprised if we see him back this year. But anything can happen..

I like DeSales O-line in 2A. The smallest of the two goes 6'3 250. They move well, and have solid footwork.

I think DeSales resume is better than Danville. Every team we have played has been ranked when we played them. I think the Butler win is a better win than Boyle County.

I'm not sure Carr will be back this season.

I hope CAL is at full strength.

Good effort by the Colts. We came out fast, which is what we wanted to see. Penalties once again is our biggest issue. Hard to complain though. Dominated this game, and honestly could have scored as many as we wanted. Now, the real season starts. Next week will be a battle. I think our guys are ready.

DeSales is always on the field for the national anthem. I can guarantee you they will all be standing showing their respect.

We have to get through CAL twice to make that happen. I'll gladly take the L on the first game for the win in the playoffs. We've had a habit of doing just that, except for last year. This is a young Colts team. But they are growing up really fast. Lets just take it one game at a time. Winning at Mayfield will be a very tough task for either us, or CAL. Whoever awaits that winner on the other side between Danville or LCA or NCC or even Somerset, It's pick your poison, strap it up and do work!

I'd like to see a DeSales vs Somerset series. It would be a good trip for the Colts, and would help us on the years we would have to travel to Mayfield in the playoffs.

Now. There was a lot of good. However this officiating crew was terrible. It looked blatant that they would not call their o-line for holding. They were grabbing our ends all night long. Also. You think maybe you guys can invest in a leaf blower and clean off the visiting side?

My takeaway is this. If you have a strong d-line and have the ability to pressure the qb, wouldn't wright be the better option? He's very mobile. Carr is not. He's better suited scanning the field for the open man. Is NCC the first team that has controlled the los? If it is, then I really like our chances. Both our O-lines and especially our D-line is solid. We were short 2 on the o-line Friday against FC, and the replacements did a good job. So we have depth. I have no doubt being without Carr impacted the game. But it did give the best player in 2A the ball in his hands every snap. We'll find out in about 3 weeks. As always it should be a classic.
