  1. I read about her on prepvolleyball.com. I think you may be right vblover.
  2. He also forgot setter Nina Pauly and OH Jenna Schmahl both on NKYVC 15-1. Morgan Hentz is irreplaceable, everyone knows that. However, NDA has been beating up on NKY for years before Morgan even knew what volleyball was. I don't see that changing. 6/2 with Stephenson (recent D1 commit to Wright State-seen on Twitter) and either Morgan or Pauly setting. Draud and Stephenson hit outside. Morgan and Sears hit opposite. Gormally and N. Hardig in the middle. J. Noll is libero and C Hardig plays back row for Sears. Pauly for Morgan back row if Pauly gets to set. According to their website, NDA JV lost only to Mercy, Assumption and Ursaline in 2015. They beat every team in NKY. NDA graduated a storied class led by Hentz, but these other girls have been waiting their turn. I think they make the most of it. I think St. Henry will be good. Paige Noble suffered an ACL tear during basketball. Hopefully, she is recovered and 100%. Of course, Tobertge is the real deal. Madison Read is a decent setter. Who passes? Cooper will also be good. Rueppel, K. Smith, Beasley and Kazor can all play. Setting? Of course, they have "coaching issues" which we read about a lot on here. And they fired a strong, up and coming coach, Jenna Schreiver.
  3. Saw this on Twitter. Is Stephenson the first NKY class of 2018 to commit? Congrats!
  4. Cooper has been doing them for a while now.

  7. Maybe it is their first trip to state? School district wants to make it a big deal to encourage others to want to play at state too? I don't see what the big deal is to miss a day of school to travel to Louisville after a long season of hard work.
  8. Thanks. I had no problem paying, will be watching CCH in the finals on Saturday and NDA and Scott in volleyball state. Happy for the NKY teams! I paid the monthly fee ($14.95). Worth it in my opinion. Hopefully khsaa makes it more clear to go to the NFHS link because that was nowhere. Missed the whole first half.
  9. No live stream that I can tell. Black screen. Help!!
  10. Upper bracket - who cares Lower bracket - Assumption (sorry NDA)
  11. I am trying to watch the 6:00 game. I go to the link and it takes me to the screen for the game but doesn't let me pay or anything, it is just a black screen. Will I pay after the game starts? Sounds about right for KHSAA. Anyone?
  12. South Carolina Jail Arrest Records Search She claims she didn't have a drop of alcohol that day. They mention distracted driving.....what is the law with regard to texting and driving and getting in a wreck that kills someone?
  13. From prepvolleyball.com Fifteen of the 16 Kentucky state tournament teams have been decided. Nationally-ranked Notre Dame Academy takes on Cooper today for the final spot. The Pandas thrashed Cooper when they played in August. If NDA wins as expected, there will be four nationally-ranked teams in the 16-team bracket. Defending state and national champion Mercy Academy will be one, after the Jaguars crushed Butler yesterday behind 34 assists from Morgan Elmore and nine digs and five aces from Kelly O’Neil. Mercy finished the match with 38 kills, topped by Lauren Myrick’s 10, while the Jaguars’ stellar defense limited Butler to six for the entire match! Nationally-ranked Henry Clay will play at state after the Blue Devils rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Tates Creek in five sets. Hallie Shelton had 26 kills to lead the way. Louisville Assumption, which missed state last year, is returning in 2015 after sweeping Sacred Heart in a battle of top 20 national teams in the 7th Region. Heart had won two of the previous three meetings this year, but this match was all Assumption. Brooke Moore and Jacqueline Askin led the way with 13 kills each for the Rockets. Moore added a team-high 16 digs. Now, here’s the interesting part of next week’s Kentucky state tournament: there should only be three high-level matches and all will come before the final! Kentucky does not seed its state tournament and instead fills the bracket by lot. That means Notre Dame, if it wins today, will take on Clay with the loser out in the first round, Mercy will tangle with Assumption in the quarterfinals and the survivors will meet in the semis for the right to breeze in the state championship match.
  14. Tasha Lovins (Ryle Head Coach) notified NDA softball coach who happened to be sitting with Wyatt Foust (NDA Bball coach and Asst. to the AD). Wyatt approached the Henry Clay parent who said he was not aware he was in violation and was taping the games for 'his daughter so she could see how good NDA is". Wyatt appreciated that but asked him to erase the tape while he watched and the HC parent did. After the match, the HC parent approached the Ryle coaching staff and asked them for any tape they had on NDA and would let him take back to HC. Ryle staff politely said "not no but H*** No..." and the parent left. I don't know anything about the parent approaching NDA staff. I only know what I wrote because it was told to me from one of the people named as having experienced the situation....in other words not heresay but I am not directly involved either. I can only assume what I was told by a first party account was true.
  15. Lindsay Leick's Women's Volleyball Recruiting Profile Some video of her.
  16. Heard from my NDA/Beechwood friends that Elly was at the district championship tonight. Word is she was not getting any playing time at LSU so she quit. With Zweibel coming in to set next year that probably would not change. Reportedly, Elly is heading to Thomas More. She should be eligible right away since she is going from D1 to D3
  17. Great match tonight and the better team won. This is the toughest district to win so kudos to both teams, they go far in region.
  18. Agree with Lawnboy. It was a fun match to watch. Glad the Raiders pulled it off on Senior Night!
  19. Lol. Wow! Didn't mean to stir the pot in this way. I don't know how to post links or any of that. I saw a tournament info sheet with pools, bracket play, etc and it was titled KY JV Championships. My daughter doesn't play JV, another parent had it at one of our matches. The point of my post was that it was seeded and, seemed to be accurate. I have no idea how it was seeded, how you get in, or any of that.
  20. U Mercy, Assumption, NDA, Presentation are the top 4 seeds. Sacred Heart, St. Henry, Louis Holy Cross, North Oldham, Henry Clay and others are all playing in the KY JV Championships this Saturday at OVVC.
  21. Sad that the JV State Tournament being played this weekend is properly seeded and the Varsity State is not.
  22. I was at the Ryle match and Stephenson started in the front row. I heard later that one of the other girls was hurt. I thought she did great. She's not "small" she looked just as tall as the other girls out there except maybe the middle hitters. I just wanted to say that because one of the other comments made it sound like she was 5' tall or something and I think she is normal sized based on seeing her on the court against Ryle.
  23. Well that's a better summary than the few lines I saw on fb. Ha ha. The few times I have seen NDA play, they seem to get nothing from the L2 and Opposite, and I am not just talking offensively. Neither one gets blocks, good touches or digs along with few kills. Neither make a lot of errors but they need to do more. Just don't understand why they have that whole bench sitting there and not one kid to come in a provide something? NDA is now 2-4 (I think vs the Louisville powers-Mercy 2L, Assumption 1W/1L, SHA 1W/1L). Just seems like they would switch something up in at least one game to see what someone else can do. Hope the Pandas don't come away with regrets again. All of NKY knows (if they are honest) this is our last chance for at least a few years. Personally, regardless of my school affiliation, I would like to see them (or anyone) bring it home!
  24. Franxam is an outside hitter not a setter.
