I thought both did well. Are these permanent changes?

The only sophomore middle "better" than Legg right now in NKy is Hardig from NDA. Hardig benefits from NDA's exceptional ball control. Unfortunately, middles are at the mercy of their defense and Ryle's is not great this year. Legg has huge upside. She will have a great club season and will be highly recruited.

I've been saying its a down year for Ryle and they continue to prove me right. Tonight was a few steps backwards - lots of what looked like "anger" on the court. I don't get it. Honestly, NDA's JV team would've given Ryle varsity and most nky varsities a run for their money...they are very good.

NDA wins in three if they all play as they can. The fact that Lakota East took NDA to five is encouraging for Ryle. NDA also won easily at LIVT vs Ryle. Re Lakota East, I wasn't there but scores tell me something was going on. The lopsided wins for the Pandas in sets 2 and 3 and close losses in sets 1 & 4 and a close set 5? What say ye, Panda Nation? Whether the rest of NKy wants to admit it or not, this Panda team is our only hope to bring a State Championship home this season. No one else in NKy is (or should be) even close. Not sure what is up but the losses to Mercy (x2) and Assumption and now a five setter, at home, vs a GMC school?? Baffling....and I hope they can get it together. If Ryle's ball control holds and Bush, Stinson and Legg are playing well- Ryle has an outside chance at winning a set. They will not win the match

Head coach just had a baby. They have some fill in coaches but Coach Lovins hasn't been there for a couple weeks. Again, I'm not sure what the big mystery is. Ryle lost a lot and didn't have much on the bench last year. Junior class is very weak besides a couple players. Yes the Texas middle helped but she is not going to "carry a team", not yet, she's a sophomore. I think people need to quit sniffing for trouble and just realize who Ryle has on the team and be realistic.

Jenna Schreiver coaches there, I think Frosh. She is NDA Alum and All Star from NKU. Was a very good setter at both schools.

Not sure why a Ryle loss to St Henry is disappointing. Until a couple years ago, Ryle had never beaten St. Henry. St. Henry is senior heavy this year. Ryle is young. Ryle lost a ton to graduation. AshelyBush - leader, setter , hitter Butler twins - 3 year varsity starters. Great personalities. Did their jobs with no glory. Erica Kohayne (sp?) - another 3 year varsity starter. That is a lot to replace.

Not only that but what would NKYVC gain from joining up with TSE? NKYVCis doing just fine on their own for the past 20 or so years. And NDA has been built on the back of NKYVC during that same time. (This was in reply to Sandman post about NKYVC and TSE merging)
